  1. That doesn't change the fact that Nichols, especially coming off of a throwing shoulder injury, isn't worth $450-500K. All the QB's are huge risks for different reasons. Masoli because he's coming off of an injury and because he's only looked great in one offence and that's not the offence we currently run. Collaros for his concussion history. Nichols for his injury history, lack of pocket presence, and the fact that he'd rather play it safe than throw a possible pick. I'd got Arbuckle/Streveler but I'd bet the Bombers go Nichols/Streveler and overpay Nichols.
  2. I'd pass on Nichols at 450K let alone 500K. Collaros not only took the deep shots, he completed the deep shots. That was the difference in our offence and all on Collaros.
  3. Streveler's quickly becoming my favourite Bomber.
  4. No it's not. Beta was clearly technically superior to VHS. My Beta machine even skipped ads automatically on taped TV shows. VHS won because it was cheaper so more folks bought it. Saskatchewan is not clearly superior to anything.
  5. It's a team game. You don't NEED a vet QB to win and having a vet QB doesn't mean you're going to win. Hamilton and Regina got to first in their divisions on the backs of young QB's, not vet guys. BC was last in the west behind THE vet QB.
  6. Glad I didn't disappoint. I wouldn't have had said anything if someone didn't go back to find a post to take a shot at me (I did get Hamilton as 1st in the east and Winnipeg as 3rd in the west and I might have been right about the rest if we didn't trade for Collaros.). Today should be about the Grey Cup win, not taking shots at poster's you don't like. Shouldn't be about the Riders either. Their season ended last week.
  7. I'm happy to be wrong in this case. Then again, I've been mostly right for 28 out of the last 29 years. Cheers!
  8. I'm in my 60's. Better not take 29 years to win another cup, cuz I'll be dead before that happens and this will be my last Bomber cup of my life.
  9. To all the fans who saw their first Bomber Grey Cup win.... Welcome to the club. We've been waiting for you to join us for a long time. That wasn't just a win. It was total dominance. One of, if not the most lobsidded Grey Cup victory in recent memory. Now, onto figuring out how to repeat next year. 😁
  10. Congrats to the Bombers. Great job! I couldn't be happier tonight.
  11. https://calgarysun.com/sports/football/cfl/postmedias-grey-cup-predictions/wcm/ba30ba84-5322-4f05-9cf9-3a1f15d04184#Echobox=1574613289 Eight of nine are forecasting a Hamilton victory with only Paul Friesen of the Winnipeg Sun siding with the West Division champs. 😲
  12. In 2 years Harris' PED suspension will also be mostly forgotten, except by angry Bomber fans.
  13. IMO, Walters is the main reason we're going to play in the cup this year. Collaros has been THE difference maker on offence and for the first time in recent memory, we upgraded our team throughout the year instead of standing pat. I'm specifically pointing to the changes in the DB's from the mid point of the season until the end of the season. Without those changes we are watching instead of playing in the cup.
  14. Gotta ask.... Did your mailman or the milkman have hair?
  15. On the left side there are 10 red dots, 1 green and a yellow past 15 inside the numbers. On the right side there are 9 red dots and 3 yellows. Not sure how you can say that Nichols was throwing the ball away instead of throwing a pick 19 times out of 25 times.
  16. You realize that Hamilton is the team that won 4 of the 7 awards right? That makes the Bombers the team that didn't win the awards.
  17. See all the red dots on deep shots to the sidelines? PLAP's been calling it all year. It's the throw that Collaros is consistently completing that's made the big difference in the last 3 games.
  18. Often the team that doesn't win the player awards is the one that wins the cup.
  19. Both teams have the same SMS dollars. Toronto, should actually have less available bucks because they will have to pay out their current HC. If we lose MOS, it won't be because we couldn't match the Argos offer.
  20. Verbal contracts aren't worth the paper they're not written on. Walters isn't going to say anything, especially this week, that rocks the boat in any way.
  21. Superstition is bunk.
  22. Not testy at all. As usual, I'm hoping for a Bomber win. I was in the stands the last time they won the cup and it was marvellous. Sounds like you're desperately trying to start another useless argument. Let the hate go. It's not good for you.
  23. Just gotta take another shot at me eh? Sad. So sad.
  24. I grew up in Winnipeg. I live in Calgary. I've lived in Merida, Mexico and in Vancouver (Twice). The only city I'd move back to is Vancouver. Winnipeg is a great place to be from, but it's not a great place to live IMO.
  25. If it's Walters or MOS, I'd take Walters. He's made a lot of right moves player wise over the last few years.
