  1. Stamps get a 3rd rounder to talk with Arbuckle. They get another pick if Arbuckle signs, which I expect he will. Arbuckle wasn't staying in Calgary anyway so Huffer got what he could from Ottawa. It surprises me that Ottawa is willing to go with another mostly unproven QB after what happened to them last year. It also surprises me that PLAP, whose had both Nichols and Collaros run his offence, would rather go with Arbuckle. Question is back to Nichols or Collaros for us and for Toronto.
  2. Maybe they will use a 2 QB system to keep both guys happy once Masoli is fully healed. Unconventional for sure, but it could work in this specific situation.
  3. I tried it early on, but it turned out to be the same as the GDT. Just the same people whining about other people's opinions of what they were seeing in real time. The 'those guys ruined it' crowd ruined it for me.
  4. Say it ain't so.... those are horrible.
  5. Are you suggesting that the team wanted the pigeon poop jerseys?
  6. Don't try to apply any logic to this list. It's just a wasted effort.
  7. I've got no evidence, just a theory. Same holds true for Rick Campbell. I'm thinking that we will see more resigning in the future and less firing of coaches who still have time left on their contracts to get around the SMS rules.
  8. Coach 'resigns' and gets paid out outside the management SMS rules. Coach 'fired' and gets paid out inside the SMS rules.
  9. You're talking about players who were top guys at one point in their careers. By the time they try the CFL most are just trying to find their game again.
  10. Folks who aren't in the locker room passionately arguing with other folks who aren't in the locker room about things that go on in the locker room. SMH.
  11. Streveler needs to develop his passing game and make quicker/better reads. I think he's a better passer than most around here give him credit for, but he knows he can pick up 1st downs with his feet, so he uses that part of his game too often. When things break down, Nichols throws the ball away and Streveler goes for a run. Nichols has zero chance of making a first. Streveler has a pretty good chance of making a first. I wouldn't be happy with Streveler/McGuire because it's too much risk having just two young guys with Streveler being the vet. I'd be happiest with Arbuckle/Steveler as both have shown promise. I expect Nichols/Streveler which is OK I guess, but I'd prefer Collaros/Streveler if we go vet/youngun.
  12. If we'd lost in the first round of the playoffs this year, it probably would have meant MOS's job so Collaros saved MOS' job just as much as Nichols did 3 years ago.
  13. John Hodge -@JohnDHodge Hearing OL Jermarcus Hardrick has agreed to terms on a one-year contract extension in Winnipeg. The 29-year-old has started 67 games since he joined the team in 2016.
  14. MOS and Walters earned their extensions this year. Good signings.
  15. I'm surprised they gave him a say in hiring his boss.
  16. Maybe Collaros, like Neuf, wasn't really injured for most of the season. Just on the IR to get the younger players playing time and to save SMS. Maybe he isn't an injury issue at all. Heck.. maybe being injury prone isn't a real thing at all. 😂🤣😂
  17. My bad, I meant the Calgary game, not the Regina game. Change WF to WSF.
  18. Hamilton can afford Masoli at starters money because Evans is on a cheap contract. I could see a 1 year deal with the carrot being a realistic chance of getting to the Grey Cup and winning it. That's a bigger deal in the long run than a few thousand dollars this year.
  19. The WF was great play calling. Not so much in the GC. 7 turn overs produced just 2 TD's.
  20. 3 OL, Harris, Demski, Woli
  21. Demski played the whole year. Whitehead didn't. That's what I mean by spot duty. Making big plays in some games and not doing much in others is the definition of hot/cold.
  22. Buck's been in charge of our QB's for years. He has mostly the same names as PLAP on his resume. PLAP's results are Buck's results. I assume that Buck will mostly continue to run PLAP's offence. I doubt he makes significant changes from what's been working for us especially in the beginning.
  23. So much fake news. So many alternative facts. I hardly know where to start. I didn't rant against PLAP. Seems like you're confusing me with 17 🤣. No, I don't like Nichols check downs. I prefer Collaros' escapability and completions to keep drives going. None of that changes the real facts that are the stats nor does it make them cherry picked. Whitehead's biggest asset is his speed. That's what makes him a deep threat, not the 500 or so yards he got in spot playing time. Demski is hot and cold and he came into his own at the end of the year and the playoffs. You can call that criticism if you want. I call it observation. FTR: That doesn't mean that I don't know that Whitehead also runs hot and cold or that I'd replace Demski on the offence. Say what you want about Woli and Demski. The stats tell a different story. You're just overvaluing NI's. I never said the sky was falling because Kongbo is getting an NFL shot. I said good for him and good for the Bombers to let him. I don't want to go back and check to check if we used a DI on offence all season, so I'll give that one to you.
  24. So you don't think the offence would be more dynamic with another deep threat like Whitehead, even as a DI? Peterman is loved around here but, we wouldn't really miss his 120-150 yards a season. Woli got 360 yards receiving. I doubt that kind of output would be hard for an import to replace or improve upon. Woli's passport is as important as his output. Demski's hot and cold, but he really came into his own in the last quarter of the season and the playoffs.
