  1. I'm hoping for Montreal/BC. They look like the two best clubs over the last month.
  2. Brady is already overpaid for his position. When we rested him at the end of the season, his backup looked pretty damn good at less than half the bucks. Good for him if he wants to chase the money. RB's careers are short, and they should make the most while they can, but we shouldn't be players at anything more than he's being paid right now. Re: Eli... Some folks seem to think that Eli has to be better than our starting centre, likely because he's suboptimal, but the coaches who see him every day disagree. Blame it on MOS they say. The facts are Eli's been here 5 years. He's started a few games, and he's the extra OL. MOS says he lets his coaches do their jobs, so I'd say that means the OL coach is the one who isn't starting Eli, not MOS.
  3. Eli was a great collage player who has done squat in the pros. Nothing to do with MOS.
  4. Re Zach: Under contract means whatever guaranteed money he has is sunk, but it doesn't mean we have to or even should keep him. He's way overpaid for his performance.
  5. Our offence was bad, partly because we didn't have a star receiver to go up and bring down the 50/50 ball consistently. Add Lawler and the rest of the recievers get more room.
  6. Lawler would have probably meant 2 extra wins, which equals a home game in the playoffs and a chance to go further than we did.
  7. Problems, we got a lot, but Thomas and roster management is way down the list. Start with Collaros, thinking he's still got the arm he used to have, throwing into tight spots and getting picked off. Then Jefferson, who used to take over games, but can only shows flashes now. Then whoever made the decision to let Lawler go and rely on broken down Schoen. Add in the guys who decided that our OC could learn the job on the fly instead of getting a real OC in and that everyone should get another chance instead of bringing in new talent. I worry that getting into the playoffs because we played a team that didn't need a win and won a game where we completed 3 freaking passes and Edmonton started the wrong QB at the beginning of the season, is going to tell those in charge that everything's OK so they bring back the old guys for one more kick at the cat. What we really need to do is to get rid of the expensive ex stars who aren't worth what we are paying them, work free agency with the cash we saved, and bring in a lot of new faces.
  8. I like the way Wilson throws, but let's pump the brakes guys. He threw for 79 yards and played most of the game.
  9. IMO Vavel is the only one who is going to win a prize.
  10. That was the outlier, the one game that doesn't belong, the one game that isn't the same as the others.
  11. Oops, Hammy ain't playing this week. Change my pick to D Mills.
  12. If we can't beat the Riders with Mair at QB, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs.
  13. Wilson's amazing catch might have saved our post-season. Without it, they're up by 12 and they kick a FG on the last play to make it 15.
