  1. i'll remember this sensitivity next time i see the media jump all over Ford for being a big fatso (he is... but he'd never get called that if he weren't a white, male, conservative... because that would be "fat-shaming" then)
  2. going to presume that was from the post above yours (which i can't see). typical of the left though, as you say.
  3. sidemouth only prorogued the one time because he was in a majority position for many years... PM Harper was not in so cushy a spot. he had a power hungry failure from Ontario provincial politics (who had done the exact same thing in an Ont minority to disasterous effect!) conspiring with separatists to usurp power... ...and this was such an unpopular move by the PM (and the GG) that they went ahead and renewed their confidence in his gov't in successive elections... ...but let's not let small things like this get in the way of the left and their media water-carriers hate-on for anything or anybody who exposes their BS.
  4. and yet, given the other choices, he has my vote.
  5. shocking how many of these guys check-out early. if it were any other profession/sport. it'd be scandalous. i was at WMVI.
  6. i live between two of 'em. we're kinda proud of them... we all should be. they're an examplar of canadian ingenuity. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CANDU great for the economy too. high paying jobs all around.
  7. pretty sure that Atomic was posting it as a joke... but on the off chance that nobody else got it, that map has been mythbusted on Snopes for awhile... http://www.snopes.com/photos/technology/fallout.asp
  8. MS Paint is f**kin scary.
  9. the nudie bar near me has a great buffet.
  10. so you're saying that seeing him in Hogtown is a longshot...
  11. ITT: people who aren't fans of The Simpsons
  12. obvious slant from Brown trying to whip up support for his former union brothers. can't blame him for it. also can't fault his viewpoint. when it comes down to it, i doubt you'd find many fans who wouldn't support an increase (maybe even a sizeable one) in the SMS. and 17to85's attempt at strike-make-go-longer was completely unnecessary.
  13. new stadium... new TV contract... no reason to be so pessimistic even given prior failures.
  14. also wondering if there may be a handshake deal in place to improve his contract when the new CBA drops...
  15. it's what we do these last few years when a player wants to try his luck down south. i have mixed feelings on this... but Barker has been consistent on this and it seems that players know it and respect it. can't blame Khalif for wanting to give it one last try for the big money (he's 29). hope he gets a bigass contract down there... but if not, i hope he remembers that we did right by him.
  16. The plans call for temporary seating of 40k and the talk has always been that this would be for Winter Classics and Grey Cups... but that may be a shot across Rogers' bow to force a favourable lease rate from them for GCs since they now aren't the only place in the GTA capable of hosting it... who knows. but i'd bet it would be at BMO... and soon. a GC in TO is likely part of the deal. maybe a couple.
  17. Still not clear to me if that is where the Argos are going. Is MLSE or Larry Tanenbaum actually going to buy the team, Bluto? it is where we're going. has been since October. the new owner is exactly who/what you think it is.
  18. thank Flutie they finally announced this. been sitting on a lot for a very long time.
  19. think so? was he known as a "Burke guy"?
  20. I dare say Bluto does not share your opinion of his performance in Toronto. was surprised he made another teams roster, let alone an active player. he was only ever a depth guy on our "injury list". when we finally had enough actual injuries an were forced to call him into service, he immediately showed that we'd be better off giving someone else his spot. I think I remember you giving him a better review than that we he first came here. Not glowing by any means, but IIRC you considered him at least serviceable. I'd search for the post but 1) I think all traces of you have been removed from OB, & 2) I don't care enough. no you don't. in fact, i remember it like i commented about his addition as being indicative of the sad state of your O-Line but that maybe he would play like he had something to prove and get better... i can't search the old site to find it (and really, besides looking up my old posts, what possible reason to go to that shithole could there be?)

  22. other than his name, there's no reason we'd take him. we've maybe the best mix of hoggies coming to TC that i can recall for a long time.
  23. i'm curious, who on the Bomber roster would be a fair exchange for Tyler Holmes?
  24. i'll withold comment to wait and see what happens to Bomber attendance if they start poorly and the "newness" of IGF wears off a bit... houses. stones. glass. etc.
