Interim coach Clemons gives his team talk before the 2004 GC. Maybe he's a bit corny, but the looks on Jonathan Brown and Eric England's faces tell me that they'd have killed for Michael.
it wasn't... this is a renovation.
i'll grant you your personal feelings and opinions on the other guys... but hating on Pinball??? what's the matter with you man???
I think the kid turns 27 this year?
At this point, he doesn't really have the time remaining to go through an entry level NFL deal to get a lucrative second contract...
If I'm Henoc and I have good reason to think that I can get 200k+ for each of the next 3-5 seasons in Canada, I would bend my efforts towards this immediately. Time flies and he could chase an NFL deal and be a 30 year old who's out of football with no savings.
We could... but i wouldn't be so sure... 4 or 5 on O-Line and Durie and/or Coombs on offence... and Foley/Bulcke with Greenwood at LB and Gabriel/Black at safety. (also our new kicker with the alphabet soup name)
Plenty of flexibility.
was also surprised that Walters wasn't in for Watman (or if he was, and i'll try to find that out, that he wasn't in harder). obvious why we wanted him as keeping Ricky clean has become priorities 1 thru 5 of our season.
you guys seem like you're maybe two O-Line upgrades away from a very solid roster.
He will if he doesn't lower his expectations. Yes he can still contribute a lot and yes he's the face of the team here, but he isn't a $175k player at this point. If he played all 18 games + playoffs he might be so if he works out something incentive based he might get there... but realistically he may end up elsewhere as Barker traditionally doesn't break the bank for free agents. It would suck to see him in Hamilton.
So many good players... and a home GC... and a GM that doesn't build thru free agency. *sigh*
Have fun today Blue Bombs, I doubt it'll be that fun for Double Blues.
thanks for posting this, Heel.
it bares out what my impressions were in general (Edmonton and Ottawa have been solid while the Argos have been middling) but I was surprised that Hamilton wasn't higher
