I don’t this is going to happen: a) The Republicans won’t vote for it. b) The U.S. constitution has no provisions for impeaching a president, once he’s out of office.
  2. Speaking of calls: does anyone know why that PI called due to tripping - keeps showing up in clips that are portraying "the questionable calls." Am I missing something?
  3. Funny how some teams do not learn that lesson - one would think it should be an automatic fundamental when it comes to team building.

The link shows that there really wasn’t any evidence.
  5. Crazy stat from that football show on 1290: Mahones had 497 scramble yards behind the line of scrimmage, trying to buy time - Brady had 13. I didn’t even watch the game, but that’s difference right there - as usual. Trenches dominated by the Bucs.
  6. They needed something to do at their retreat.
  7. Accurate. With Harris they were at least competitive.
  8. Heck - who needs a .500 QB anyway, may as well settle for 3 - 15.
  9. He won’t lose any of those wins...
  10. Shakeys?
  11. I was just giving a Coles notes version of the article.
  12. I know exactly what The Privy Council is and how it functions. I have actually participated in a week - long seminar at Parliament.
  13. I recommend reading this article - it has more information. In short - this was a recommendation by the privy council, to use generic wording in public announcements, in order to increase the flexibility of how the funds could be used.
  14. Could be another Andrew Greene scenario...get one more good year out him, surrounded by top notch talent at his position.
  15. There's a sliver of truth in pretty much everything that gets posted here. It becomes problematic when a sliver is posted as the whole story.
  16. I could literally take something he wrote a year ago - and just give it a few tweaks,
  17. Just sad - especially the fact that he had previous DUI contacts and still had a driver's license.

Agreed - as long as people realize that close contact should be avoided, even while wearing a mask.

None with high case numbers that I'm aware of. The current situation is either (a or b): a) the virus has already made its way through a community & they have relative herd immunity b) the community has gotten better at containing the virus
  20. If this were a fact, then we wouldn’t have teams going broke or reliant on owners.

My take on masks: The idea of wearing masks is somewhat flawed but it’s still there for a reason. You are not protected from COVID by two people ONLY wearing a mask. They just don’t work for that. You have to stay 6 feet apart, wash hands etc.. So why wear masks? It makes people feel safe and it makes people act differently. There’s a sliver of truth behind every anti-mask idea, but it still doesn’t give anyone the right to act as if they know anything about protecting people and about public health orders. I think the variants entering Manitoba will be the worst beast for us to deal with. That will not be fun and it will be serious, especially if the vaccination rate is going to keep up.
  22. There are plenty of ‘professionals’ -chiropractors, natural medicine et. al. who promote anti-vaccine rhetoric - it brings them clientele from that segment of the population. So yes, I realize there’s a lot going on, and most of it is not good, whether they believe in wearing masks or not.
  23. I wasn't fooling anyone...I have seen exactly this first hand. I don't particularly care whether you believe or not.
  24. The anti - mask / anti - lockdown are often also the anti - vaxxers.
  25. The most vulnerable will get vaccinated, which should allow restrictions to be permanently loosened.
