Mike

Why would he do that? Better to just keep collecting a paycheque and waiting for a trade, while you hock cruellers and coffee to people in Detroit who have no idea who Tim Hortons is. Tim Horton. Most Canadians don't even know who Tim Horton the hockey player was, other than people over the age of 50 who saw him play. I am talking about "Tim Hortons", the doughnut franchise of which Kevin Glenn owns several in the Detroit area. It's because you said "who" not "what"

Should probably wait until at least the second.

Didn't play in a huge collegiate program but he looks like a legit talent. They worked him out at the Saginaw tryout where he ran a 4.33 40 yard dash. Could push Aaron Woods.

Doubtful. He's 28,

That stood out to me too. He's got a LOT of baggage ... a dad who loves sharing his opinion, some criminal history, a missing ACL ... I'm not holding my breath.

That is one big dude.

Crazy that he has no ACL in one knee.

MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue 3m #Bombers have yet to announce it, but they've signed QB Robert Marve. Formerly of the University of Miami and Purdue. #CFL MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue 1m Marve (6'1", 210) most recently tried out for Tampa Bay after going undrafted in 2013. #Bombers #CFL

I can't even listen to the call-in portion on CJOB.... I usually think "who are these people and have they ever watched football before?" I think you're confused with the part where they have Friesen on the show.

Am I living in some kind of alternate universe where taking nearly 4 months to name a head coach is quick?

I hate Lawless with a burning passion. He hides behind his "I'm a columnist" line for everything. I'm not really sure how much he actually knows anything about the Bombers, or if he just purposely trolls since that seems to be the way of print journalism nowadays. I find that I dislike him a lot less during the offseason because he's too focused on the Jets. I'm sure I'll be enraged again come June.

I like guys like Darrin Bauming and Kirk Penton. I may not always agree with their opinions, but it's still obvious that they actually follow the team and have some pride in their work. Ed Tait and Bob Irving are in that category as well. I'd put Gary Lawless in a different category. I rarely agree with what he writes and I don't think he's a very good writer (blurs the lines between his job as a columnist and his job as a reporter far too often for my liking) but I still respect him because he puts in a good effort. He's just got a bit too much of an agenda for me. Guys like Jim Bender, Paul Wiecek and Paul Friesen are just horrible. A quick review of anything they've ever written about the Bombers makes it obvious that they have pretty much zero understanding of anything related to football.

I'd use that term loosely. He put his own spin on comments made in an interview with Buck and as usual, he was way off.

The Bombers were the FIRST team to talk to him, but the media doesn't have any fun if they report it that way. Walters and Buck spoke last week about a coaching position in person.

God I hope not.

And they didn't cut him. They released him to return to school and he turned around and signed with us

Why does Desjardins have to trade him right away? Why not be patient, hang onto him, and wait until some team has an injury or underperformance problem and gets desperate for a proven QB? Because until that happens, Glenn will be a huge distraction.

According to Dan Ralph, Kevin Glenn officially requested a trade from Ottawa recently. I'm expecting Winnipeg will be in on talks, but who knows how far they'll go. If I'm them, I'm offering Max Hall. Or Cauchy. Or both. Whatever. Take a pick too if you want.

Wait what?

Possible as in he wishes.

we didn't protect him in the expansion draft if that's what you were suggesting.

Why no threads created about the signing last week then? I just didn't really get around to it. Ok Colin LOL Just been working on plugging the Twitter account lately more than posting here. MorningBigBlue @MorningBigBlue 6d Add this name to the list of unannounced recruits by the #Bombers: DE Stafford Gatling (6'4", 250) formerly of Ohio U and the NY Jets. #CFL Think it was the same day they cut Boatman.

No surprise there.

Makes our coaching staff look good.

What does she say about accuracy? Just not in the face.
