The way we've used our defensive personnel all year has driven me nuts. Way too many participation medals being handed out. The fact that we DI a second-string and third-string WIL while we leave Nevis out of the lineup blows my mind. Bench one of Knox or Wild and get that constant rotation on the interior going - it's what allowed JT to have so much success earlier in the year. At one point in the fourth quarter, I saw us line up with Thomas, Jones, Briggs, Hurl, Loffler and Ekakitie on D. Why? Why on earth do we have 6 Canadians out there at once? On a key down? Come on. We're suddenly thin and I don't see how we're going to overcome it. That being said, we've got a lot of talent.

I honestly would start Thomas Miles over Sam Hurl next week. Hurl is garbage.

Trent Richardson got charged with DV and had the same outcome as Manziel ... dismissal so why is he allowed in but Manziel is not? why was Justin Cox allowed in? Now he's stuck in Canada beating the **** out of women here too. why was Chris Rainey allowed in? Texting "time to die *****" to a woman isn't bad enough? why was Kyries Hebert allowed in? The list goes on and on ... they only care because Manziel is high profile and it gets people noticing that they care ... which is what the league wants ... the illusion of giving a **** when they clearly don't

I could be mistaken but I think this is basically what happened -- he was looking like one of the best DBs in TC for the Riders, then he got an offer from the Ravens so the Riders released him, then he got hurt and the Riders didn't want to bring him back because he was also still looking towards NFL options, then he went to the Jets for a tryout, then the Cowboys, and now he's back here. Keep in mind, we also wanted Bingham before the Riders signed him too but apparently the Riders managed to get him on their neg list before we did - I believe he attended a joint tryout.
