On paper, we're superior almost everywhere except at QB. They've still got some all-star caliber players (Reilly, Willis, Ladler, Bowers, Hazelton) but they're a very, very beat up team. What I'm really curious about is how they're going to do on the DL with almost no solid bodies to rotate in. Mike Moore is adequate, not sure about Yates but that's a lot of reps for guys (Bowers and Boateng) who have had their success in controlled rep counts so far.

And re: Thursday, I don't think I've ever been more convinced of a win against an undefeated team. I was less confident we were going to beat Hamilton. I think we stomp Edmonton. Reilly struggles with our defence for some reason. Their OL is beat up. Their DL is beat up. We're going to put the boots to them. Bombers by two possessions.

Reilly and Mitchell are head and shoulders the #1 and #2 QBs in the CFL, in that order. However as a big not-Nichols guy, I don't see how anyone can say he's not number 3. Every guy on this list loses. Every guy has good games, bad games, losses in games they should've won and wins in games they should've lost. I truly think the reason that Nichols doesn't get as much love is because he never puts together a game where the Bombers go out and kill a team. They don't 60-1 anybody. But they win. And he's a big part of it. Nichols is very quickly turning me into a believer, which is crazy because when he took over from Willy, I was beyond convinced it was temporary and he'd never amount to anything. I'd be curious to see the numbers of each of those three guys since Nichols became a starter. Just to measure it. I know Nichols has a better winning % than Reilly and a worse one than Mitchell. But what are the QB stats. Would be interesting.

And I defended the pick the entire time, saying we should give him time to develop. Rarely does a receiver impact our league year one or two out of the CIS. But clearly, he is a bust.

Not really worried about what Addison Richards (or any of the other people bashing me) think about what I said. It *is* curious. He was willing to battle through his injuries and be on the sidelines collecting a full paycheque for doing absolutely nothing to contribute to his team on the field. Then one week after being demoted to the PR, which you have to assume comes with a lower paycheque, he calls it quits? That doesn't sound like a football player to me. Sounds like a guy who milked us for a free ride for three years then gave up when we told him he had to earn it. Good for him for retiring on his own terms. And I really mean that. He got to make a choice not everyone gets to make. I just don't think his terms were very flattering to him.

Can't say I agree with the firing. Reinebold isn't the problem imo, it's Austin.

I don't know if anyone else noticed, but both hands to the face calls were drawn by Ettore Lattanzio who is like 5 foot 10. Probably had a lot to do with it.

Ottawa has played 6 games. They're 1-4-1.

Boateng has been playing well, I am definitely surprised. Good for him.

Now that Thorpe and Fogg are healthy, I'd love to see Flanders come in for Lankford.

My main complaint is LaPolice. And it has nothing to do with his offensive scheme. I like his playbook. Ferguson is right, he shows a lot of creativity. Lots of stuff to be impressed with. He just can't play call worth **** in the first or fourth quarters of a football game.

Doesn't Chris Jones realize his team sucks so much nobody needs to cheat to beat them?

That RUFF Draught they released is way better - it's advertised as a blonde ale, but it's hoppy like an IPA. Really good stuff. If you're hitting up Dangerous Man, take pit stops at Junkyard (Moorhead) and Disgruntled (Perham) along the way, you won't be disappointed. Indeed, Modist and Wild Mind are personal favourites of mine IN Minneapolis also.

Hey Cory Eat at OGC - their food is awesome. The beer they have is their own, I just don't think the early batches were on their own system. Really enjoyed the vibe there, it reminded me (layout wise) of Surly in Minnesota. Make sure you try Codename Ghost at Half Pints if you're still there - best beer in MB right now easily.

Anyone notice one of the guys he goes up to at the end in the stands is Chris Getzlaf? Awesome piece. I truly want nothing more than to see Dressler's time with the Riders be the early stages of his career and for him to go in the CFHOF as a Bomber. Would love to see him resigned after this season. Fun fact: that TD vs SSK was the longest play of his career.
