  1. Can see it if you have a wide enough screen. I don't think they tested it on mobile
  2. I could ask if someone wants to go but I somehow doubt we would be given media access. CFL releases the combine rosters https://www.cfl.ca/2018/03/01/rosters-set-cfl-reveals-list-2018-combine-participants/
  3. There was still no salary cap in the NHL when they were building the arena, so NHL hockey coming back was more a pipe dream then anything. Plus the funding model was predicated on the downtown location, which I believe limited the building size. Also, building it at that location is what got Thompson involved as he (or his holdings) owned the Eaton's building. Don't know if the Jets come back to Winnipeg without Thompson being part of True North.

  5. Scoring was way easier and higher back then. Last season Connor McDavid led the way with 100 points. (30G 70A). The 20th top scorer was Auston Matthews with 69 points (40G 29A) In Teemu's rookie season, Lemieux was top scorer with 160 points (69G 91A). And he did that in 60 games. The 20th top scorer was Fleury with 100 points (34G 66A). So Lemieux's assists alone would put him as the 2nd highest scorer last year. His goals alone in the top 20. And it wasn't just Lemieux with those kinds of numbers. #2 - Lafontaine 148 points #3 - Oates 142 points #4 Yzerman 137 points Teemu was 5th with 132 points.

  10. Nope. Just worry about players with nagging injuries. He came back for a partial game and was back on IR. Not a good sign. Wouldn’t surprise me if we wasn’t back until next season. Also, Jets have been very aggressive in finding a centre at the deadline. That in itself is telling. Might not just be for depth.
  11. The company has significant debt and will be mired in litigation for a long time. Not much of a choice to be able to carry on.
  12. Foley looks to have decent upside. Jets dealing from a position of depth and always the risk these NCAA kids don’t sign and become eligible to sign with any team. This is the reason we’ve been stocking the cupboards. If Lowry comes back, he becomes your 4th line centre. Nice depth.
  13. http://3downnation.com/2018/02/25/winnipeg-bidding-for-2020-grey-cup/ Interesting that Morley would be reporting on this. 2020 seems a little too soon since Winnipeg hosted the last one.
  14. Would love to see an example of the bolded
  15. Nor did he do it while trying to "motivate" his team in the middle of a game to go out and win.
  16. Ottawa ownership is a disaster.
  17. If you don't want these kinds of reactions to your posts, don't exaggerate to try and make your point of view more compelling. "#1" to "among the best" is vastly different. The number of FA goalies available and the number of teams looking pretty much matched up. As long we were willing to shell out, was pretty sure we were going to get a goalie. Kulikov was a risk based on the season he was coming off of, especially for what we signed him for. Great we signed both of them, don't think it is as back of a coup for the Jets as your original post was trying to make.
  18. So because a player is "linked" to another team we get to take him out of the equation when we judge who got the best player? Thats not saying we got the best player, thats saying we got the best player willing to sign with us, which is true 100% of the time as long as we were willing to and we wanted to sign them.
  19. Arguably? Would love to hear that argument. In the off season, you had Kulikov ranked above players like Shattenkirk and Alzner? Ryan Miller and Brian Elliott were the main FA goalies everyone was talking about until we signed Mason. Both Kulikov and Mason were coming off "down" years and we paid market price based on them having "average" years. It is great that Kulikov has turned out (Mason has been too injured to really pass judgement, which in itself isn't great), but lets not re-write history.
