Buff needs to hustle back for that puck instead of taking a skate in the park. He gets out hustled, then we get hemmed in, and Columbus goal.

The future doesn’t necessarily have to go in a linear trajectory forward in terms of technological advancement. You could introduce some kind of disaster or event that has devastated or collapsed the Federation and give it more of an edgier feel. Would it still be Star Trek without the Federation? Probably not, but you could have the show trying to rebuild it.

I think it is kind of a chicken and the egg thing. Who wants to spend that much money on a stadium (typically government will need to step up here) when no one really knows if a CFL team will be supported.

Of course, that has always been the argument. Why do you think First Nations are allowed to own and operate casinos? The argument has been that gambling has always been part of their culture before everyone from Europe showed up. http://www.lazchar.com/2016/04/11/aboriginal_first_nations_gamibling-law_canada/ Now if you want to argue that this history has nothing to do with owning and operating casinos, I don't think I'd argue that. Don't at all agree with the lawsuit. But the precedent has been set in Canada and the US that gaming is part of the First Nations culture.

Interesting comments from his agent. Apparently there has been no contact for two weeks. https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/football/bombers/bombers-draft-choice-cut-by-nfl-wants-money-or-freedom-agent-says-451283713.html So basically they want a lot of money and likely only for the remainder of this year.

Kaepernick filing grievance against owners for collusion
Rich replied to Rich's topic in General Discussion
Disagree. This pretty much puts a nail in the coffin of his career. Now he just wants to write the final chapter and have his day in court. I doubt it. From everything thing I've seen and read, this is a topic he felt passionately about, and decided to take a stand, I'm betting with eyes wide open. His career is done. And like I said, not everything in life is about money. He made a stand for something he passionately believes in. I have a lot of respect for that. History is full of people who sacrificed where if they didn't, progress wouldn't be made. Life isn't always about coasting through the path of least resistance. It will be near impossible to prove, but yes I believe this is collusion. Especially for a league who gives second chances to wife beaters, drug addicts, and criminals. Who is the real trouble maker?
