  1. Results are below. Will be updated after the Sask / Tor game is over. Picks need to be in by Thursday @ 6:30PM
  2. Panarin signs with the Rangers. 7 years @ 11.64M per
  3. You have to look at the penalty yards Edmonton accumulated. We gained huge amounts of field off of those penalties that don’t get reflected in offensive stats You could make the argument of Edmonton didn’t try to cheat so much, our stats would look better. Or our offensive would have sputtered and not put up the points without the penalties. One of the two.
  4. Chat issues from last week have been fixed.
  5. The schmoes are in town. Bomber home opener. Going to be Sunny and 26 for kickoff. Lets go get another win!
  6. Always wonder why people post asking where is the Game Day Thread and don't just make it. Effort is about the same. Anyone is more then welcome to kick it off.
  7. One would hope you could sign Chiarot for 2.5 - 3. And if that is what he signs for, Beaulieu should be half that. Then again in a world where Myers may get $8M and Hayes gets $7M, I have no clue what salaries are or should be anymore.
  8. It's pretty easy to accidentally click the close poll button when scrolling through on mobile. So if it is ever closed early, just give me a shout.
  9. Reopened
  10. Why is it you have such issues with this game, see these same posts from you in this game every year. Pretty sure Toronto lost .... big time.
  11. One more of these posts ... and it will have been said more times then the Riders will have wins.....
  12. Over 20 people now tied for first with 6 picks. Also 23 people went 3 /3 last week. Picks this week need to be in by Thursday @ 7:30PM for the Bombers home opener. Standings are below:
  13. Barring a trade, Jets final pick in the draft is goalie Logan Neaton
  14. https://lastwordonhockey.com/2019/04/17/ville-heinola-scouting-report/ Looks like he is projected to be a top 4 defence man with possible top pairing potential.
  15. If you read what the CFLPA's issue is, it is all about precedent. Yes, this hit is horrible, and has no place in the game, Lawrence should be punished. The CFLPA is appealing to not only protect one of its own members but the consequences a decision like this could have on future discipline when it isn't so clear. The end of this is a head shot = 2 games. The issue here is the unilateral power of the commissioner. Punishment and suspensions should be decided by a panel of representatives of the league and CFLPA. You may still get players appealing, but you at least don't have to worry about the power of one individual.
  16. Wish it wan't this way, but it really isn't up to the PA. Unfortunately, if Simoni wants to appeal, as his right, they have to do it, whether they agree with it or not.
  17. Bombers are hosting what appears to now be the now annual You Make the Call event tonight for season ticket members (RSVP for this was sent out a while back). Director of Officiating, Darren Hackwood will be playing different clips from last season and the attendees voting on whether or not it was a penalty. Anyone else attending?
  18. With Week 1 in the books, all I have to say is it is nice having CFL football back, Congrats to @Jimmy Pop for going 4 for 4 last week! Short week with 3 games on the docket this week. Please have your picks in by Thursday @ 6:30PM. Standings are:
  19. Not sure why chat isn’t working. Can’t seem to connect to their servers.
  20. I really don't care what Rider fans post on their board, nor do most people on this site. What matters here is what you bring and post on this board. Do you think coming to a Bomber website and making claims of collusion in favour of the Bombers from the CFL commissioner would get any reaction other then the one you were getting? I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what you were doing here and got exactly the reaction you wanted. Then feign innocence and saying it is odd when you get "jumped on". In fact, coming from a Rider fan I would say it borders on trolling and would probably get a Bomber fan suspended for posting an equivalent post on Riderfans. Ambrosie couldn't pass this in a vacuum. Commissioner isn't a dictator. All clubs, or at least the majority, had to agree to it. And if you read the articles of the time, it was clear that there was a sort of arms race going on between clubs and coaching staffs that was outpacing league revenues and wasn't sustainable. Here is an article on who decided on the cap, a little insight on how they came to it, and a clear explanation that Winnipeg wasn't the only team unaffected. In fact, Winnipeg isn't even mentioned in that area of the article. https://nationalpost.com/sports/cfl-implementing-new-operations-cap-before-next-season Does it suck for Saskatchewan that this was implemented? Sure. But in a league that has a history of shooting itself in the foot, has a long history of teams having to either be taken over by the league or saved by benefactors who don't care about losing money, is it a surprise that a cap like this is put into place to keep the league viable and more teams from going under? Or the more likely scenario that this was put in to pre-empt the players pointing to all the money available that teams were spending and should be available to players prior to CBA negotiations.
