Wish it wan't this way, but it really isn't up to the PA. Unfortunately, if Simoni wants to appeal, as his right, they have to do it, whether they agree with it or not.

Bombers are hosting what appears to now be the now annual You Make the Call event tonight for season ticket members (RSVP for this was sent out a while back). Director of Officiating, Darren Hackwood will be playing different clips from last season and the attendees voting on whether or not it was a penalty. Anyone else attending?

With Week 1 in the books, all I have to say is it is nice having CFL football back, Congrats to @Jimmy Pop for going 4 for 4 last week! Short week with 3 games on the docket this week. Please have your picks in by Thursday @ 6:30PM. Standings are:

Not sure why chat isn’t working. Can’t seem to connect to their servers.

I really don't care what Rider fans post on their board, nor do most people on this site. What matters here is what you bring and post on this board. Do you think coming to a Bomber website and making claims of collusion in favour of the Bombers from the CFL commissioner would get any reaction other then the one you were getting? I'm pretty sure you knew exactly what you were doing here and got exactly the reaction you wanted. Then feign innocence and saying it is odd when you get "jumped on". In fact, coming from a Rider fan I would say it borders on trolling and would probably get a Bomber fan suspended for posting an equivalent post on Riderfans. Ambrosie couldn't pass this in a vacuum. Commissioner isn't a dictator. All clubs, or at least the majority, had to agree to it. And if you read the articles of the time, it was clear that there was a sort of arms race going on between clubs and coaching staffs that was outpacing league revenues and wasn't sustainable. Here is an article on who decided on the cap, a little insight on how they came to it, and a clear explanation that Winnipeg wasn't the only team unaffected. In fact, Winnipeg isn't even mentioned in that area of the article. https://nationalpost.com/sports/cfl-implementing-new-operations-cap-before-next-season Does it suck for Saskatchewan that this was implemented? Sure. But in a league that has a history of shooting itself in the foot, has a long history of teams having to either be taken over by the league or saved by benefactors who don't care about losing money, is it a surprise that a cap like this is put into place to keep the league viable and more teams from going under? Or the more likely scenario that this was put in to pre-empt the players pointing to all the money available that teams were spending and should be available to players prior to CBA negotiations.

Putting picks into the spreadsheet this week is going to be really easy.

I haven't really been active in the fantasy league, so not sure what kind of participation we've had in prior years, but happy to setup the league if people are interested in playing. https://fantasy-api.cfl.ca/en/league_invitation?league_id=5041&code=367a31ba-34e7-4b77-a57c-70d3e236b501

Preseason is over and that means CFL football is back for the 2019 edition. Pick 'Ems are back with the winner taking home a $50 Blue Bomber gift certificate. How do they work? Each week you pick the winners for each CFL game. You get one point for every correct pick. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins! Picks will be done through the polling system. Polls close at game start of the first game of the week. I will accept picks for games that have not started yet through PMs if you are late getting them in. Week 1 kicks off with Saskatchewan @ Hamilton on Thursday at 6:30 PM. Please get your picks in by then!

Napster and the illegal music sharing platforms of the time were killing the music industry and letting people download single songs. iTunes and the iPod gave people an easy way to pay for legitimate music the way they wanted and were going to one way or another. Agree that iTunes has become a bloated mess and it’s time has come. Not a big fan of streaming either, but at the same time, most people just don’t seem to want to buy music anymore.

Want to thank @TrueBlue4ever for putting the effort in doing this throughout the off season. Not a small amount of work, and very much appreciated to give us all something else to talk about during a long off season.

The morning show was at its best when Paul Edmonds was hosting.

Thats crazy. To make things worse, the guy ended up dying.

In my opinion, there has been a lot of embarrassing discourse going on in this thread today and over the last year or two. After numerous attempts to try and curb peoples behavior people don't want to listen, so some lengthy suspensions have been handed out. I'm tired of the stupidity that goes on in here daily, and I'm sure many others are as well. If people can't have a discussion without belittling, making fun of, and insulting others, they aren't welcome to post here. Interesting video here from 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate Tulsi Gabbard. I recommend watching the whole thing, but this link has been queued up to start at 48:28. Watch it for a good 5 - 7 minutes. What Rogan is saying here is pretty applicable to what has been going on in here. The amount of times I've been asked to remove posts for the simple reason that people don't agree with them is damn right scary. I don't care if you are left or right leaning, if you aren't actually interested in discourse and give basic respect to people, and try to understand where someone is coming from society is going to a very very bad place. Forums are supposed to be about discussion. Not silencing dissenting views or simply posting to "win" the debate at all costs.

To muddy the waters a little more, they still have to sign an entry level contact and are subject to RFA rules after that contract expires, it is just that they can do it with any team they choose. So not completely a "UFA". An RFA that can sign with a team of their choosing.

When I click on a news item and it is a video, I never watch it. The level at which news articles are written are purposefully an easy read and it is faster for me to read it than watch a video. I can also scan and decide if the content is work my time. Suppose that ages me as well...
-
Hard to say without seeing how the contract is written, but once the players are no longer being paid, wouldn't the league be in breach of contract?

Except neither of those things are what happened. What about aids ignoring orders and praying that it just doesn't come up again, putting "spin" on their answers that they had done "something" but not what he really requested, or Trump firing people for not doing as he asked. The world really isn't broken down into "anti Trumpers" and "Trumpers". Can't stand this black and white thinking. The world and this whole situation is in general more complicated than that.

Seems to me this debate about impeaching and indicting Trump has run its course for now. Let’s see what happens next with the report Amazes me how a number of you can fill up pages and pages of posts repeating the same things back and forth. Dedication . Here is something that has been mentioned but a little lost in the shuffle. The report indicates Trump aids regularly ignore his orders because they are reportedly illegal or unwise. Is this an indication of the system working in the US. Where would we be today if everyone had followed his orders? Or is this more an indictment of a broken presidency as utter chaos. Or both?
