Why do you think people who work from home should get paid less? I work for a company that is 100% remote and has been since it started, even before Covid. Gives them access to hire from a bigger talent pool, as we have employees from all around the world, in 40 different countries. It’s about company culture and being deliberate in who you hire. They even decided to do things like give everyone 6 weeks holidays to match what the Europeans in the company typically get. Hire right and treat your employees well, and good things tend to happen.

Should be thankful that there are enough Bomber fans around to be able to support two sites. Not every CFL city has that support. People having options of what they prefer is never a bad thing.

You can only sign a player for a max 7 years unless he was on your team on the trade deadline of the previous year. Then you can sign for 8. Kings wanted him locked up for 8 as part of the deal which is why it was dependant on the sign and trade.

His salary in year 1 is $9M with $8M of that coming in the form of a signing bonus. It is possible the Jets paid that $8M depending on the date the signing bonus is due, but I'd hope all of that is on the Kings. Can't see them retaining any salary beyond that.

It appears that this blocking that Twitter is doing is slowly making its way through the internet. I don't think there has been a tie in almost 10 years that we've been running this (it might have happened once). But if there were, then we'd likely split the prize.

Pick 'Ems are back for the 2023 season How do they work? Each week you pick the winners for all CFL games. You get one point for every correct pick. Whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins a $50 gift certificate at the Bomber store. Picks will be done through the polling system. Polls close at game start of the first game of the week. I will accept picks for games that have not started yet through PMs if you are late getting them in. Week 1 kicks off Thursday night football with the Lions visiting the Stampeders. Picks need to be in by 8PM Thursday, June 8th.

Update on the twitter embeds. In the support forums for the board software, there are many other communities experiencing similar issues, though it isn't affecting everyone. The consensus seems to be that Twitter is blocking a range of IP addresses, which the server for this board got included in (anyone's guess into how they determined what those ranges would be). It is likely caught up in something similar to this. Will continue to monitor, but not much more I can do on my end at this point.

When was the last time you used it?

It wasn't turned on when I found it, and to get it working I had to sign up for an account and create a key, so if it was around before, it had probably stopped working at some point.

There are other message boards that have reported the same issue, but it is not broken on all the boards out there. So, not sure yet.

What does one have to do with the other? Well, nothing really, but.... I was trying to figure out why Twitter links aren't embedding (no answer on this yet), but while doing so I stumbled upon a feature I didn't know existed and enabled it. In the tool bar when creating a post, there is now a GIF button. This is an integration into https://giphy.com and provides a quick way to search for and embed GIFs. Right in time for the new season and the game day GIF thread (if we decide to resurrect those).
