  1. This team is an embarrassment. I’m glad I wasn’t able to go to the game tonight.
  2. Pearson on the 2nd line seems like a stretch. Yes, he had a couple points last game, but that is obviously not his norm. And why take him away from a line that was maybe building chemistry. We’ll see what happens, but seems like an odd decision.
  3. I have zero faith in this team. And on multiple levels. I hate saying that, but….
  4. Number 48 on the Isles is constantly setting picks when they’re on the PP. He sets up at the blueline and moves to take out our forward skating backwards. It’s clear interference.
  5. DeMelo is back. Good news…. He went into the boards awkwardly.
  6. Yeah, they woke up. Great goal by Barron and now one by Nino. Only bad thing is I haven’t seen DeMelo come back.
  7. Someone tell the Jets the game has started.
  8. Fleury got hurt in the Kings game, so not a healthy scratch. FWIW
  9. This team is beyond frustrating…. I’m exhausted.
  10. Except O’Shea has repeatedly said his veterans don’t need to practice.
  11. Maybe the family issue Houston thought was good when he came back, turned and he had to leave again? Not necessarily a conspiracy or underlying concern.
  12. Stop trotting Nattress out there…. For the love of gawd.
  13. This is just not true. Sure, a player or coach isn’t going to blab to some random fan asking a bunch of questions, but having known front office people and a few players throughout the years, they absolutely do give insight into their team. There has to be trust involved, but it definitely happens.
  14. Depth? Yes…. Scoring depth? Not so sure. We’re going to need it because we can’t rely on the top line to do everything. Hopefully Perfetti isn’t out too long and the other line combos can build chemistry quickly.
  15. Sounds like Perfetti’s injury might not be minor. That would be a big blow. Hopefully it’s not serious…. It didn’t look too bad.
  16. This officiating is horrendous. Incredibly one sided.
  17. Schenn inexplicably goes to pick up his stick, allowing the Flames to get the first goal. Net front wide open. Schenn and Fleury look horrible so far. Like beer league bad.
  18. I don’t like it. Stanley has no business on the second pairing.
  19. Here’s the line rushes at today’s morning skate: Connor-Scheifele-Vilardi Nyquist-Namestnikov-Perfetti Niederreiter-Barron-Iafallo Koepke-Ford-Pearson Gustafsson/Chibrikov-Lambert-Duehr Morrissey-DeMelo Stanley-Pionk Fleury-Schenn Heinola-Miller Hellebuyck Comrie
  20. Interesting that the players would specifically name Hogan when referencing the game plan….. Often they just say, ‘coaches put together a good game plan for us’, or something similar. Not saying there’s something to be read between the lines, but it’s interesting….. Maybe it’s because he’s been taking so much heat lately and they want to stand up for him or maybe it’s what they were instructed to do…. Or it could be absolutely nothing.
  21. I was out of the country and couldn’t watch the game. Any chance Jackson had a hand in the game plan/play calling? If this was already asked, my apologies…. Haven’t had a chance to read through everything.
