I don’t like Appleton playing above Iafallo. The 3rd line was noticeably better when Appleton was out. And of course Stanley continuing to play over others, is still a head scratcher, but I assume they have a plan.

I actually think Perfetti has been playing some good hockey this season. It’s obviously not always translating to the stat sheet, but he’s been good. He’s hit a bunch of posts and had a revolving door of linemates.

Time to get rid of Ehlers because he’s sick and may not play? That’s a bit over the top.

Good to see Lambert potentially get another look, but not at the expense of Ehlers.

So often Zach’s lack of time was because of pressure straight into his face… Kola was either getting toasted or run over. Having extra guys in to block isn’t going to change that.

I can’t see any way Eli wouldn’t be better than Kola, if given an actual chance to be the starter. Physically, athletically, he’s better. Sure he may take some lumps, but he’s got all the tools to smooth them out. Unfortunately, he likely won’t really be considered for starting C.

I’m not sure I understand…. You say Eli is at best the 6 OL, but then say you’d love him at C? I want to see him get a real shot at C too. Like a legitimate chance to work through any growing pains. And I agree that he had some struggles at guard.

I think having Kola in the middle of the line is a usage problem, but I agree with you on the rest.

That sucks. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from him. Hopefully it’s not too serious, but it certainly seems that way.

Absolutely not. My friends and I have been saying for a few years, he’s easily replaceable. Iafallo is a big upgrade in his spot. I’ll be irritated if he’s just inserted back onto the 3rd line when he’s healthy.

‘Win’? There’s no way he could win anything. ‘Handed’ is a strong possibility. This signing is a real kick in the nuts.

Canada opted to go with a non scoring squad this year. Hopefully they rethink that strategy, yes.
