  1. We often criticize OShea for not making moves to replace vets that aren't producing to our satisfaction, but I have to say putting Randolph in was a great move. An American guard has to show a lot in practice to start over a national, and at only 25 he has a big upside, giving a young olineman reps could be an investment we will grow to appreciate As far as Eli vs Kolo I dont think Eli has shown enough to make that change.
  2. we don't do that, rather O'Shea doesn't, it takes a lot for him to back down on a previous decision regarding a vet. Even when it becomes obvious to others there can be better options
  3. The money saving as previously posted is overstated. Because of the large bonuses we gAve out to save cap space bit us, so the savings is only the prorated portion of the balance. Often it costs us more when we pay a replacement player if they dont stay on the full 6 game
  4. I think it was negotiated to be lower for ly (175) then increased for this year due to cap concerns in 2023, ave salary for three years I believe is about 205k
  5. Last game we started 12 players that weren't with us or hadn't started last year. Posters are calling for Alexander Bighill,Thomas, and at times Kramdl, and now Demski? That makes 17. How did we win a game last year, or this year
  6. Add to that Wheatfall, who should be ready soon
  7. of course....when it helps toronto
  8. Both Adams and Woods have shown they can push the line forward, and with Garbutt in WJ\s effectiveness has gone up quite a bit. The one thing that doesn't change with age is his wing span, which caused numerous problems for bc last game
  9. no more so than any other qb that's gone in for the starter. He's actually shown a lot so far as far as I'm concerned. He wasn't the one that let Leake run for 169 yards
  10. Its about priorities even if we were 6 and 2, we would find things to complain about but its the offence thats costing us games and needs to be addressed more agressively
  11. The only other team that spends as much on wr and qb is edmonton....see the similarities?
  12. Wilson is a keeper, he's now showing the instincts and familiarity with Collaros to come back to the qb when Zac is scrambling. Hés our only receiver that's creating any separation.. I wouldn't be surprised if next year we decide to go with Wilson and choose between Schoen and Lawler. This year has shown us that you can't put all your salary into receivers and not on the oline and dline. Only way we keep Schoen and Lawler is if each takes a major cut and Demski renegotiates his contract.
  13. Demski is still the best receiver we have currently, but I agree Bailey would help us, especially starting instead of Clerius
  14. Demski is nonimport Hes better than Johnson and Clerius Hes a go to reciever for Zac Defences have to plan for him
  15. makes no sense on so many levels
  16. cause walters signed him and he isnt one of OSheas guys. Same reasson as we had Jackson all last year, that we havent replaced others.
  17. Once again we are putting in a player ( jones) with very limited reps because we dont give them the opportunities prior. Wilson hurt again shows he isnt a viable option at mlb. (Maybe hes hurt because of having to make more tackles that our middle lb should have made) No lucky again, and really only changes are those forced by injuries. Feels like were just reacting vs coaching
  18. but a win saturday might!
  19. Its pretty obvious by a number of the comments on here that we're not rocket scientists , but if even we can (mostly) agree its the the refusal/reluctance to act on significant areas of concern thats hurting this team, then where there's smoke there's likely fire.
  20. I think the negativity is due to 2 main things 1.our record 2. Our frustration with bomber mgmt to not address obvious issues. ie allowing vets to go past expiration date with seemingly no backup plan in place, or standing pat with an offence that couldnt score more than 3 field goals in their last game
  21. You're right, watching BA when was the last time he laid a big hit on a receiver going across the middle. He used to own that turf. Now its mostly arm tackles from the side The tackles Wilson is making used to be Bighill's M O .
  22. With Lucky we don't know if hes in game shape or Has he lost a step, theres a reason he hasnt signed until now When asked about Lucky when he was signed, O'Sheas response was we'll see once he gets here.
  23. I see him developing as a BC's Cottoy type of player, key role , sometimes a prime target.
  24. Oline has always been key to our offensive success, giving players experience is key to succession Its one position that is less about athleticism and more about technique. Id look moving smeckle to pr first. Especially with rotation of adams, woods, thomas in place
