Both Elgesma and Ford would be a big upgrade on who we rostered this year. I wouldn't have a problem with either one. With Ford, I wouldn't be surprised to see him go to out east and might be a good fit with Mtrl as Alexander isn't costing them a lot.

thought Vanterpool actually played better than Randolph who was beat badly a few times by Archibald for one

Dinwiddie has another year on his contract and the only way Ottawa could poach him is to offer him a promotion, but Ottawa has stated that Burke will return as gm. I guess they could still do something like make Burke vp and hire Dinwiddie as coach gm . -
I agree, they must like what they've seen of the two rookie de's in practice, and allowing Jefferson and Vaughters to rest is good as theyve been overworked this year with us only going with 6 dlinemen vs other teams 9 or 10 for most of the season.

They always list the vets that are on the roster as starters, doesn't mean much in terms of play time in this type of game

J.Hamilton loves to spread rumors to spread controversy about the bombers at inopportune times, Just before we played Hamilton he writes an article about how Lawler was dissed as we didn't talk to him before Mitchell. Likely OSheas/Walter fate will be determined by the playoff game performances -
Maybe handing off to Brady more than 3 times in the 2nd half
-
Collaros may play one series, but can't see him doing more than that mainly because: Why risk him getting hurt, see that done that and it doesn't end well Why give mtrl reps against our first string offence? OShea loves to keep his cards hidden as long as possible
-
What is very disturbing about Hogan is that he continues to playcall as if we had the offensive line of years gone bye. You can continue to blame the execution but if you are asking players to execute beyond their capability its just delusional. Either change up the players or call different plays. Our pass routes are unimaginative and perform poorly for example instead of sending everyone long and having Zac underthrow them how about having one or two break back towards the qb to help him out? Its frustrating to watch. Every game including the last 2 grey cups, whenever the opposing team seems to stop the run, we all but abandon it and Zac is overwhelmed you d think wed have a gameplan to counter this by now
-
I think it will be Wheatfall in for Mitchell
-
yeah but Houston doesn't qualify as a bomber vet as he's only played 2 games for us this year. As far as the depth chart, I think OShea just lists JT as a starter to piss off people on this forum.
-
how about he missed too many practices this week, and they thought Parker would be better prepared.
-
Maybe sit out Woods to bring Wheatfall in.
-
Maybe earlier in the season, but O'Shea has always operated that if you're a vet you've paid your dues and earned some benefits. With a guy like Neufeld no one on the team will doubt his commitment to the team. Every one on the oline plays through a lot even if it's on one leg.

Big deal, ita not like hes gonna miss out on learning a new bunch of new schemes

Cmon, memory is selective, for example Burke was fired wasnt he? His team had the 2nd worst passing defence in the league, finished 3&15, you think he wouldn't be torn apart by this crew? The only thing that was on his side was having GM Mack to complain about the first 6 games Every head coach gets complained about even one thats taken their team to 5 grey cups I complain about him as well it basically comes with the job -

T Jones is on the top two tacklers in the league so were lucky to have him. We signed JJones for insurance but since Woodbey has proven to be better -
The only players Ottawa would trade are aging vets that they are iffy about resigning or know they are unlikely to ,Mauldin fits that mold. Just to throw it out there what about a trade of the rights to Elgersma and our 1st round pick for Dru Brown. Crum has been more effective for them and less injured Also how good would a cdn qb look in the nations capital. And we would have a qb if that one more hit happens to ours
-
Give me some Geno Lewis
-
Sterns quickness and hands make him a good asset, Wheatfall, Wilson and Mitchell are all similar types of receivers so having Sterns in gives us a better mix. As far as Wheatfall vs Mitchell, Im torn but if healthy Wheatfall deserves the chance to be back in the lineup. Hate to see him lose his spot due to to that hit. Mitchell has shown some good hands but just not enough to displace Wheatfall
-
Whatever happened to those funny looking helmets they experimented with ly, that were supposed to help limit concussions? Feels like Zac should have one
-
Given what we've seen with Zac, we need to do everything we can to protect him. If Vanderpool could help do it, even if it means not adding woods, or OShea forbid Ayers. How effective Zac will be given that likely he wiil be dumping off the ball at first sign of trouble or relying on a quick passing game ( not his strength) is a question, but cant be worse than the alternative
