  1. It's a fair comment to make... you have the MOP on the team who is a running back and some QBs who seem unable to push the ball down the field yet there have been long stretches in games where you aren't getting him the ball. Probably doubly frustrating for Brady because I don't think he expected to be rolling near Labour Day with a goose egg in TDs again this year.
  2. I'm choosing to believe that the only reason they don't have 6 Safeties on the depth chart is because it doesn't fit the formatting.
  3. How long do you give him to adapt though? Dickenson started out losing 2 straight grey cups, won 1, then then didn't make it to the conference finals for 4 straight years before bottoming out and missing the playoffs last year. That is ALOT of rope.
  4. I'm not sure what the point is with Streveler anymore. Guy is barely getting forward on sneaks and obviously isn't or can't be trusted passing the ball. It would be neat if the Bombers had someone they could put in as a change of pace when Collaros is stuck doing check-downs or too busy having to pick the grass out of his face mask and no-one would have to worry about them being more than likely to pass to the other team instead of a Bomber.
  5. That Montreal player sliding into the van at about the minute mark looks like it would have hurt.
  6. Did something happen to Lofton for him to end back on the 6 game or is that a misprint?
  7. Who knows who is really to blame but they really need to figure out what is going on in the red zone. Streveler the only QB in the league with multiple red zone INTs, and with the one that Collaros has the Bombers have 50% of all red zone picks thrown this year. On a team where the offense seems to sputter more often than not, you absolutely need to have those points. Even if you just get field goals there, you are going from third last in the league for PPG, to 3rd best.
  8. PFF had him charted at 23 snaps which is why I used that number. He had 7 carries for 11 yards and they tried to swing one pass to him. Completely ineffective against a pretty mid defense against the rush. Maybe they got away from him as the game got away from the stamps but he should have been a bigger focal point
  9. Lots of Calgary receivers still showing up on their injury report. Hopefully it forces them to mess with the ratio and designations again and Mills only gets 23 snaps again
  10. Fajardo was the West nominee for MOP in 2019. Being the starting QB on the top team in the division goes a long way for that though. Some dudes just catch lightning in the bottle for that one season. Fajardo in 2019, Printers in 2004, maybe Rourke in 2022,
  11. PFF graded Willie Jefferson at 99.3 on Friday https://www.pff.com/news/cfl-highest-graded-players-week-9 Could be the highest rated game PFF has ever given out?
  12. It probably means all other viable receivers have raptured and we can expect a bunch of USports signing to play alongside him this week
  13. I'd take Philpot as well but he is on the 1 game with Alford WRs for the Stamps are Rhymes, Tevin Jones, Brooks, Erik Baldwin, Kaylen Horton and Vyshonne Janusas... 3 rookies, a 2nd year guy and then 2 vets.
  14. The West has been a blood bath for receivers so far it seems. I think BC has been relatively healthy though. Riders have lost of bunch. What Calgary trots out tonight will probably look worse than the Bombers do tomorrow. Elks are... the Elks.
  15. That game where everyone got injured and they had to stand Streveler out there at WR to have 12 guys on the field was pretty great.
  16. Someone wrap Demski in bubble wrap. By my count the rest of the receivers have about half of his career receptions when you combine them all together.. and half of those are Sterns
  17. Corcoran backed up by Cobb is diabolical when you have D Mitchell on the practice roster... that must be new or is the official depth chart messed up? They had him on the 1-game "injury" list the first 8 weeks didn't they?
  18. I was going to make a joke earlier today about Cooley being added onto roster instead of Mitchell but I had figured having a guy who barely caught a ball in College added to the roster as a receiver instead of a dude you signed to be a receiver to a fair amount of fanfare was TOO ridiculous
  19. Oh yeah, I just saw Lofton on the 6 game, not that he was a full participant today.
  20. So what is the plan if Vanterpool can't go? Only other OL on the roster is Ethan Vibert.
  21. Can anyone decipher the Stamps depth chart and know what Mills status is? Kind of looks like he is a designated nationalized american for this game? Listed as (26 MILLS*) DA... I think the parenthesis around him and the square brackets around Antwi mean Designated Nationalized American? That would mean a snap limit for him?
  22. Will have to wait until tomorrow to find out he has a Thorax Injury or something
  23. Are we talking about holdovers from the 2019, 2021, or 2022 Grey Cup If we are talking 2022, that list is missing Hallett, Cadwallader, Gauthier, Benson and Lawson. Further back there is some churn because Castillo was around in 2021 and is back, same as Streveler. So you are looking at almost half the roster that has lost 3 grey cups with the team... and then a couple more guys who have won at least once before that. Looking at the list of guys on my post... that is a lot of life-time special teamers that are really no threat to take any snaps on defense. Maybe there is a lot of opportunity lost there in getting athletic dude who can play teams and then can transition to the defense. If that doesn't happen, cut loose and find the nice athletic guy who could make a difference one day.
  24. This is where the Brown vs. Collaros argument kind of falls apart from me. Yes Collaros was showing signs of slowing down, and yes Brown looked very promising in spot duty when he was here... but I'm not sure ANYONE in football would move on from a QB who was just off back-to-back MOP seasons, and the season we are talking about moving on from he was probably 3rd in the voting that year, and if the Argonauts don't go 16-2 is definitely the All-CFL QB... for someone who hasn't exactly lit the league on fire since he left. I also want to take this moment to throw some shade at MBT... of all the QBs in the league, he is the only one who hasn't completed a pass (to his team) 20+ yards past the line of scrimmage.
  25. https://3downnation.com/2025/07/29/winnipeg-blue-bombers-bring-back-veteran-db-dexter-lawson-jr/ The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have brought back American defensive back Dexter Lawson Jr.
