  1. Trying to answer that question is kind of depressing. ..Holm has been playing relatively well. Demski is having a good year, though shouldn’t be the 1 option. Wheatfall is a good deep threat…Honestly that’s about it.
  2. Love how Bolden knocked him on his ass after too and escaped without a penalty
  3. On a personal note, I’ve hated the Argonauts for as long as I can remember. They’ve always seemed to have the Bombers number in recent years, even during the dominant ‘21 season. As much as I think we need to see another ass kicking to get some needed changes happening, I can’t hope for it in the slightest against the goddamn Argos.
  4. I don’t have a good feeling about this game (or season right now tbh) but I’d like to be horribly wrong.
  5. That’s the most irritating part of all. Home Grey Cup game and they chose to fiddle **** around for the second offseason in a row.
  6. Cobb would make too much sense. Novak/Vaval off Cobb/J. Jones on would be cool.
  7. If Lane Novak can’t go we’re ******
  8. 6”3, hopefully be ready to get on the AR for 2028
  9. “ Hey Fotty, know what this kid needs for his first start of the year? A pair of wet crocs”
  10. They also used about a Lawler salary amount to have Mitchell and J. Jones sit on ass.
  11. Case is basically Sterns with slippery cleats. Just another midget with good but not great speed. Dime a dozen.
  12. To me Strev is good if he gets all the 1 reps and a gameplan, like Week 1. He’s been pretty terrible whenever he’s had to come in off the bench both this year and last. It’s pretty clear his knee is still really buggered too.
  13. Honestly, I think there’s a couple different angles that show Walter’s and co were the ones that truly ****** this up. We were good because A: The front office went balls deep in FA over 2016-19. Harris, Prime (or close to it) Bighill and Jefferson, Rose, etc Also did a good job bringing in spare parts from other teams who had value (Nick Taylor, Darby, Maston) which we don’t really do anymore. B: We had guys from the Rigmaiden/Craig Smith pipeline coming through until 2021. (Lawler, Jeffcoat, Alford, Nichols to name a few.) Not sure if it lines up exactly with Rigmaiden leaving but the American scouting started to drop a dook after 2022 and never really recovered. We just kept letting good players walk and replacing them with nothing and nobody. The DT spot is a microcosm. Let Stove walk, replace with slightly worse Sayles. Let Sayles walk, replace with slightly worse Ricky Walker, let him go and so on. Drafting has generally sucked too. No real impact players over the last 4 seasons. Now we just draft maybe 1 OL, a slower WR or 2 and a bunch of Jessie Briggs reincarnations per year.
  14. Is Rod Rust back with the club?
  15. If he’d agree, Anderson may be a good fit, at the very least he has the height/size they’re lacking.
  16. That group is one of the main reasons I even go on FB anymore. Top notch.
  17. I have a signed copy of that book. There’s also this one from 1990 but yes we need one covering then til now. https://shop.bisonbooks.ca/pages/books/095564/jack-matheson/blue-bombers-60-years-and-running-1930-1990 Both Leah and Matheson were before my time but from these books I can see they were damn good sportswriters.
  18. Not getting Grant back was the biggest fuckup of Walters tenure here. Anyone else we lost/let go there was at least somewhat of an argument for the thought process. With Janarion, the organization just simply blew it.
  19. I don’t know if he’s cheap like Ballard was, but you’re not wrong about this offseason and the previous one as well. Scouting (or who we chose to keep after TC) and free agency have been abysmal.
  20. 1. MOS/coaching staff. Just woefully unprepared in every aspect. The entire team had a lackadaisical mentality like the game would eventually just work itself out. From starting a guy with the flu at defensive tackle to not being able to use a challenge in the most blatantly obvious situation. Playing dink and dunk down 3 touchdowns. Just baffling decision making all around. 2. The DL, this partially falls on roster makeup but Willie is already gassed out at week 5, Vaughters was a flat-out bad signing and Jake was good depth a decade ago. 3. Collaros. 2 pick 6’s and panicked and overthrew a wide open receiver on a sure TD. Crappy Honker- Randolph takes a brutal holding penalty on the first drive of the game which more than likely took 6 off the board. Non-Bomber crappy honker- The line judge who was giving Calgary extra full yards on multiple occasions. HM Devin Adams had a good game when he actually saw the field. Brady had some nice runs when he wasn’t falling down Clercius.
  21. I agree. I think for the rest of the year Wheatfall and Clercius need to be the 1-2, Schoen I’m afraid while not *toast* won’t ever be what he was. Demski is a good 3rd /sometimes deep threat, but again he’s never going to be healthy for a full season. It’s always going to be an ankle or something, especially with the way they beat the **** out of him with the close to LOS/RB type stuff they use him for. He just can’t be a consistent top option at this stage of his career. Mitchell is a big unknown but I have to imagine he’d be able to do more than Sterns in this kind of offence. Even as a field stretcher like they used Pokey Wilson last year. Add: Having Kody Case and Gavin Cobb as the only receivers on the PR is a catastrophic fail by the organization as a whole
  22. That’s why having Sterns on the roster just baffles me. We don’t use quick crossers or stuff like that. We need taller downfield threats with long arms.
  23. They were pretty garbage too I agree, just things like 2 pick 6’s, that holding penalty on their opening drive, Brady slipping and falling twice, the dropped passes and the missed TD throw, aren’t going to happen every game.
  24. It’s a MOS team going into a bye week, no one gives a ****.
  25. I still can’t believe he didn’t challenge the spot on that one third down when they still had a half-assed shot at coming back, that was just inexcusable.
