  1. I recall him and Weicek sitting at like 5 TCs in a row not watching a single thing before writing sensationalistic anti-Bomber drivel twice a week.
  2. I was mostly kidding. Hypothetically though the chain reaction of better roster use could have had someone more game ready/developed ready to come in.
  3. Could have had another receiver rostered all year if a certain fullback wasn’t around. Name and rank escape me.
  4. Just saying @Booch and @GCn20 Rehash or not, agreeing or not, hell of a job having a considerate conversation. That’s how it’s done. A football debate between 2 guys that played and coached the game at a higher level than me? I’m here for it.
  5. That was his brother(?) Ranthony. This is Raleigh Texada. With those names they must be bothers right?
  6. I’d love to see us go after Demarcus Christmas, could be a sneaky great signing. Gotta be a rookie I’d think. That Texada they signed yesterday has some pedigree.
  7. No particular reason. I’m a football nerd, and I’ve thought about these things far more than I’d care to admit. For example in my head, star DBs should wear 21 or single digits. Nasty interior OL should be in the 60s. Tall WR’s= 88 or teen numbers. No reason why, it’s just an aesthetic thing for me. When I played minor football as a kid (Safety/DB), they gave me 46. Drove me nuts. That’s a fullback’s number lol. John Madden actually had a whole chapter on it in one of his books, he had the same system in his head. Probably the same reason I care about uniforms, turf, stadiums more than the average fan.
  8. Not that it matters but I was hoping strev would take #16. It’s just such a perfect QB number, I can’t explain why. Same reason fast RB’s should be #22 and power backs #32. It used to drive me nuts that Freddy Reid wore 32 lol
  9. I think Raleigh Texada’s brother Ranthony was in camp here last year, maybe the year before.
  10. What’s your take on losing those interior DL? Is there enough depth there to replace 2 studs + possibly Oakman as well? l see Ouelette as a huge loss as well, The announcers talked about Kelly but I saw the Argos running game as the harder aspect to deal with. No one was able to pin their ears back on the QB until the EF. I was actually really hoping to see him in blue & gold when it looked like Brady was gone.
  11. I’m risking hyperbole but I think Kyle Walters is a top 5 GM in the history of the league, arguably the greatest.
  12. Very unexpected, but always glad to see a guy like Brady playing here. I think Schoen goes west now
  13. Brandon Barlow to the Ticats. Low-key great signing by them. Speaking of Ticats DL, we’ve talked Kongbo/Bennett to death, Malik Carney is a name I’d be interested in if he makes it to FA. A 3 DE rotation of Willie/Carney/Haba would be cool.
  14. What an idiotic move by the Riders. Good for Hardrick, but yikes. 230k
  15. Yeah, I recall saying at the beginning of Jan that a Strev/Schoen/American RB combo would be the ideal result out of this
  16. The way things are shaping up, I could see Calgary and BC going after Schoen too. Still think he’s back here though.
  17. I think you’d have to have a cap on the marquis player too, I meant more like MLSE could outbid anyone else for a single player if cap wasn’t an issue.
  18. Sounds kind of like when Calgary had Flutie on a Personal Services contract. I like it in theory, but it feels like it would help the Argos or deep pocketed teams the most.
  19. Nah, too many good young players on D, and Thorpe, as much of a knob as he comes across as, always fields a competitive group. Their O could be pretty crappy without Mack though.
  20. Maybe he sits on the 6 game all year like Miller and doesn’t count towards the cap? Hopefully? Who am I kidding, he’s starting.
  21. Those 90-94 jerseys are the all time best imo. My holy grail is a 92 one with the Canada 125 patch.
