  1. They'd start at 1 am if they had to. Not the smartest way of doing things but that's what the CFL does.
  2. Whoa, did Matt Dunigan ever expose Jonathan Jennings for the sad excuse of a veteran CFL qb that he is on the pre game show. He showed how he only reads half the field. Throws to the one receiver he locks down on one side of the field while guys are wide open on the other side he never looks at. Dunigan made no excuses for Jennings except to say he is playing badly & he isn't good enough. I'm sure Suitor though will continue to make excuses for the guy whenever he gets the chance. Props to Dunigan for being honest & respecting fans by telling it like it is about Jennings. A big raspberry to Suitor for making excuses about Jennings constantly & treating fans like we are stupid.
  3. https://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?ab33#1752143781007402143201807130501ww1676cwwg
  4. Just a heads up.., bad weather is forecast this evening up in Edmonton. Severe thunderstorms, hail & perhaps tornadoes.
  5. Living here in Calgary, I can honestly say that in the past two years the Stamps have lost thousands of fans because of what happened vs Ottawa & Toronto. The local sports media here seems a lot less interested in the team as well. If the Stamps get back to the Grey Cup with a 16-2 record (say) & lose to a clearly inferior team, the results would be disastrous on their eroding fanbase. I don't know how they come back from that. The fanbase would demand blood. Which would be the beginning of the end, I'd say. I know it may sound strange but 15-3 or 16-2 regular season records mean nothing to football fans here. Winning the very last game of the year does.
  6. Buckley was never that good. I don't know what Dickenson & Hufnagel saw in him. He had 1good game last year in the Stamps 60-1 shellacking of the Ti Cats at McMahon Stadium. A high school team could have beaten the Cats that day.
  7. They may be the most arrogant team in the CFL in thinking that other teams should just lay down for them. In big games the other teams won't. They can't handle adversity, panic & almost always choke. They could go 18-0 & face a 8-10 team in the Grey Cup & I'd pick the 8-10 team to win.
  8. How do the Stamps receiving corps match up to Edmonton's? Reilly loves the big pass play downfield. Mitchell likes to spread the ball around more than Reilly. Mitchell to me is the more patient qb of the 2.
  9. That Stamps team has so many weapons. My son's receiver at SFU has battled a severe knee injury the past year to get back into the lineup & Lemar scored a touchdown. Iwas really happy to see that. He was injured for an entire year. Now they have Durant, Beggleton, Markin, Rodgers, Brescanin & Daniels. Scary group.
  10. Davis is another of these backups who never impresses & never plays but will probably have a 5-10 year CFL career & still do nothing. .
  11. They have the team to go 18-0. They also have the team to lose again in the Grey Cup.
  12. Then the fun starts for the Stampeders.
  13. TSN pumping the RedBlacks tires.
  14. If Mitchell is out for any games, the Stamps are in big trouble.
  15. But he is Commissioner. My point is guys that sign big contracts with teams because they're always drafted first over others don't really care about league minimums or tenuos positions on teams.
  16. Most stay thru their senior year.
  17. Bottom line is the salary cap has to go up more at the entry level than the top. As well as the total amount. But as I've said in the past Canadian OL run the CFLPA. They are always overpaid so why would they care??
  18. Well, some of those degrees.... We also don't know if some of those players who got degrees actually did their essays or wrote their finals
  19. Jail may be preferable over Regina.
  20. Nichols was just letting everyone know the great job the Hogs did for him. If he didn't say anything publicly most fans would never know. Wally should worry about the shitty job he is doing as a head coach & former GM. He keeps playing that piece of stink qb Jennings. Plus his backup Travis Lulay still hasn't recovered from his ACL tear from last year. This is the team Wally recruited & signed. He has to live with it. Having said that, the Bombers must stop Burnham & Arceneaux from getting on a roll.
  21. The only way Hervey tells Wally what to do is if he fires him as in "Hit the road, Wally!" Otherwise, Hervey wants to move a player, Wally has the final say. Hervey wants to pick up a free agent, Wally has the final say. Hervey wants to bring in his own scouts, Wally has the final say. Hervey tells Wally he wants him to play another qb, Wally says go shove it. Hervey's not happy with the way Wally is coaching, Wally.... errr… let's not go there. LOL. The only way this is Hervey's team is when Wally does retire completely. If it's supposed to be full & final retirement but he remains a consultant next season, I think Hervey would leave. Braley has to sell that team. He is grinding it into the ground. The Argos since his ownership may never recover.
  22. We didn't have Nichols until last game.
  23. Are the Riders the 2nd worse? Hard to figure that team out. I think a lot of their problems stem from Chris Jones.
