  1. Maybe the Rider Prez stepped in. Anyway, one game is better than none. Our league is pretty effed up at times.
  2. Only one point. To have something to complain about.
  3. He was tough. Always shrugged it off in like 15 seconds. They don't make Private Eyes like that anymore.
  4. Frank Rigney 1957
  5. One of my father's favourite shows. I remember as a kid watching Mannix with him. He loved Cannon, Gunsmoke & Bonanza.
  6. I used to have a lot of respect for Hughes. Classy Stamps player but if it was all about the sack numbers in Calgary it seems that's all he's totally about now. He disappears for entire games now if he doesn't pressure the qb & when it comes to stopping the run. And now, this. Lost a ton of respect for him. Even his quote today about having support & people rallying behind him to help him get through this. Dude, just doesn't get it. This ain't about anyone helping him cope. It's about being stupid & putting other people lives in danger. I'm sure a couple of sacks will put things right.
  7. What is it with players that play in Saskatchewan & lose their minds?
  8. I guess Assiniboia Downs replaced Polo Park? Can you imagine how far out of town Headingley would have been in 1957?
  9. Jones likes the sauce himself from the stories I've heard from people I know in Regina.
  10. Of course, it's okay. He's a Rider. Besides, he didn't kill or injure himself or anyone else is beyond fortunate. But the fact he actually used terrible judgement to get into his car & drive in that condition as well as refuse a breathylizer sure makes it a non story in Riderville. Okay. he should be thanking his lucky stars that his stupidity didn't cost a life.
  11. What's capacity there? About 18,000?
  12. I agree. I think Petermann steps up & becomes a solid contributor at slotback. I haven't seen anything from Simonise that tells me he'll overtake Petermann & be a starter anytime soon.
  13. Winnipeg Stadium Grand Opening 1953.
  14. Call the right plays in every situation. Don't be overly aggressive when you don't have to be. Don't go into a shell to protect a lead. Use your personnel to their full advantage. It doesn't have to be either/or.
  15. Jamel Lyles is from the Lower Mainland. I think he'd like to play at home. All depends upon who drafts him.
  16. Things are rapidly deteriorating geo politically for Saudi Arabia against the rest of the world. The Saudis are now threatening to use oil against their perceived enemies. How wise is it for WWE to be going to Riyadh & having them as business partners?
  17. We all know the same posters here that claim to love Streveler also would be the first to turn on him if he was the starter & playing poorly.
  18. Yes. All you do is ***** & complain. You're a waste of time.
  19. Well, based on the way Streveler played in the fourth quarter including that floater of a pass interception he threw? I'm sure Walters is getting right on that. Streveler is a unique talent & does a lot of great things as we know but to say he's ready to be the starter with Nichols backing him up? Nope.
  20. We win 31-0 & we have a group of so called "fans" who do nothing but whine, ***** & complain even after a big win like that. Pretty sad state of affairs for some of the people posting here. The only time they're happy is when we lose.
