  1. Coaching is a huge part of the problem. Which gets back to the HC. Are these assistants & coordinators fearing for their jobs from MOS because he's feeling it from Walters who is feeling it from Miller?? Or is it just a bunch of besties trying their best with no pressure to win?
  2. Obviously The Great Pumpkin was extremely nervous when he came in & screwed up. Needing just a yard it should have been a foregone conclusion. There are a lot of qbs who don't like short yardage. They don't want any part of the physicality of the position. Some, like Chris Streveler embrace it & others don't. I remember watching Dom Davis being tentative as a short yardage qb with the Bombers. He didn't like the contact. Pipkin seems to be another. However, if that's the role on their team then they have to put their fears aside & just do it. Looks like Khari should have kept Schilz in to get that first down. Big mistake.
  3. Ritchie Hall putting up with crap? When you aren't very good you get crapped on. That's life. If it wasn't for O'Shea he'd have been fired years ago. Most other head coaches would have given Hall an apple & a road map by now. I hope he writes his book elsewhere, thanks.
  4. Probably Migs. He only shows up when the Riders win.
  5. Or keep your starting qb in the game to get the first down.
  6. Khari should know that to win a game you never play The Great Pumpkin.
  7. Leave it to The Great Pumpkin to totally **** it up. What a loser for a qb. All The Great Pumpkin does is lose.
  8. Maybe O'Shea goes home to Toronto once the Argos fire Corey Chamblin.
  9. No, there are other FA qbs I'd rather have.
  10. I'm seeing a lot of 6-5 games in our future.
  11. O'Shea will be bringing him back next season. Especially if Streveler doesn't do well or win us games the rest of the way. Be prepared for that.
  12. Sorry about your wife once again but if you really have nothing to say then why say it? Like we don't know you hate Nichols???????? Colour me surprised.
  13. Even though I post a lot here I'm not the passionate fan I used to be but I still enjoy talking football with you guys. I can honestly say that being a poster here has kept me engaged as a Bomber fan. Without the discussions here I doubt I'd still be the Bomber fan that I am. I don't get upset much anymore or as excited as I once did although those 2 game losses vs the Argos & Als did piss me off which doesn't happen very often. The game yesterday just made me feel numb. I wasn't angry & it didn't bother me they lost. I used to get so excited going to Bomber games when I resided in Winnipeg & I lived & died with every victory or loss but now my excitement just seem muted. The decades of disappointment since 1990 has taken it's toll on me as a fan. Now, I kind of expect the team to suck in huge games & sadly they usually do. I thought this may have been the year we finally break the 29 year drought but I now realize this team isn't going anywhere. I still cheer for the Bombers but I see so much incompetencty with our coaches & the Bombers seeming unwillingness to change that it's hard not to have a low bar regarding expectations. I'll still watch every game wanting the Bombers to win but I have zero expectations now. I just don't know what the Bombers expect their fans to feel anymore. They seem to be happy just being a winning team instead of a championship team. For me, I just can't accept that so I've just kinda tuned out emotionally as a Bomber fan. If I do then I'm not as invested in the team as a fan & the losses don't hurt as much. I guess it's like having a security blanket so the losses don't hurt anymore. It's sad that I've lost that passion I used to have.
  14. Congrats on the win last night. Your Ti Cats look to be the team to beat.
  15. Yeah, he would be a guy I'd be interested in as the offense would be totally different. For one thing, Harris & Augustine would platoon. Not only would it keep both players fresh which for Harris at 33 wouldn't be a bad thing. We'd also get away from a run heavy offense that I believe is holding this team back at the present time. We'd finally have more of a vertical passing attack. We'd be attacking downfield constantly. Arbuckle would probably want to play for Dinwiddie. However, that won't happen under O'Shea. At least I'd be surprised if it did. I think Nichols would flourish under the Stamps system. He's no BLM but he'd certainly understand the terminology & concepts.
  16. It all comes down to contracts & who would be available now after this season that the CFL has cracked down on coaches jumping teams. Othjers will become available because they were fired as a staff when the HC gets canned. Some coaches would be available while others wouldn't. There are some good people who would become available. I just can't say who.
  17. The thing that concerns me about the Bombers is it seems that there isn't an employer-employee relationship with the team. More like from Wade Miller on down to assistant coaches & scouts everyone seems like they're all one big happy family. All close friends. Which really makes it difficult to replace someone when it needs to happen. It's hard to fire your best friend on staff if you're management or O'Shea as HC. That's just the impression I get. These guys seem to be really tight & I don't think that is necessarily a good thing. There needs to be a little fear that if you don't do your job then you are replaceable. If Wade Miller & Kyle Walters are standing on the sidelines with serious looks on their faces then people should be concerned. I don't get that impression with the Bombers.
  18. Well, like anything else when a position opens up you find out who is interested & /or available. And qualified coaches will be available. You don't, as an organization, become afraid to make a change because you don't know who is available. You'll never find out by being scared to make changes.
  19. If we have another failed season then good luck selling continuity to the fans. That would just make no sense & they'd lose even more fans. But this organization? Wouldn't surprise me. Everybody seems to be buddy, buddy friends rather than co workers. Loyalty over results.
