  1. N95 masks are only used once, unfortunately & are expensive. They have to be form fitted. I doubt we'll get any compensation for using them. I'll certainly have hand sanitizer in my personal bag I carry on the bus everyday. I think our employer might do that on our buses. At least I hope so. Thanks for the kind words.
  2. Labatte was an all star & hometown Saskatchewan boy. A CFL team can't give special deals to every player. So, then it comes down to the local job economy. Clubs will have connections.
  3. Thanks. We're In This Together has now become You're On Your Own.
  4. With 220,000 people there aren't the same career opportunities in Regina as there are in Winnipeg. Most CFL players don't want to play in Regina. Maybe for 5 months they will but not year round.
  5. Unless you're our ******* Alberta Premier. Kenney is sending all kids back to school. Huge class sizes of 35-40 kids per class. No social distancing or masks in class or on school buses insisting it's safe based on some old study that is now outdated. I drive a school bus. I expected at least the kids would be wearing masks but nope. I carry 55-65 kids each on 4 different runs morning & afternoon. So over & above 200 students each day. All breathing the same air. All touching the same things. Yes, we all feel so safe. He just lost me as a supporter. **** him. **** the UCP. Utter madness to just ignore the virus in schools in an entire province of nearly 5 million people with over 10,000 cases. How long before the lawsuits start flying after people get sick??
  6. Calgary suburbs. I don't have any mining claims but I do have about $25 in Canadian Tire money I've never used.
  7. I know you lived in the Deep South. I thought it was Parkland.
  8. McCallum's improvement was easy. Going from the wind at Mosaic Stadium to the perfect conditions of a dome in BC.
  9. I wonder if Tyler Crapigna is still bouncing around?
  10. Too bad his name wasn't Piluka & he was from Ponoka. Then the kicker would have been the Piluka from Ponoka.
  11. Well, just like the asshat Mayor of Kelowna yesterday telling non residents to stay away as he doesn't want anyone bringing the virus in. The idiot doesn't realize that his citizens travel & they may have brought cases in themselves as the city has 150,000 people. And the dumbass twentysomethings just have to still party & ignoring social distancing... But blame all the out of towners for their trouble. Get the locals all worked up against anyone with an out of province license plate. People from BC are so holier than thou stuck up pieces of ****.
  12. No they shake their fists back.
  13. Better to go with no fans.
  14. They probably have no idea...
  15. He may be the long term replacement. Problem is if he is put on the PR he'd be snapped up. Don't know how the Bombers will handle that.
  16. The mountains are close by & they influence the weather. 17to85 would agree as he used to live in an area called Parkland. I live nearby in Lake Bonavista SE. I live in the deep south of Calgary maybe 25-30 klms from the areas that always get hit by hail & nasty storms. The NE & NW parts of the city get a lot more bad weather than we do as they are almost in the foothills & are up higher than we are. We like to call ourselves "The Sunny South". The day the NE got pounded by hail in June, we could see the black clouds & hear some of the thunder in the distance but it never rained here. Not to say we don't get bad weather as we do. I've seen clouds spinning over my house a few times & we've got hail, heavy rain where
  17. Evil knew it was wise to stay in Yellowknife.
  18. I was iving in Calgary then like now & they didn't show the game.
  19. Do you really live in the Yukon?
  20. Always. At least I'm honest. The day he leaves I will do a little dance, pour myself a stiff drink & have a toast to his demise.
  21. Shortened season. Pandemic. Different times. Quit the BS & get it done. Nope it just has to be a clown show.
  22. The Cancel Culture won't be reading history books if they become offended with the word "Bombers". It won't be about Joe Louis. It'll be about war. It will be about being offended with such a vile name. It will be about B52's carpet bombing North Vietnam. It'll be about the Enola Gay, a B29 dropping the Atomic bomb on Hiroshima. With our military inspired hockey logo, they'll come after the Jets as well. They'd be smart to go back to... At least it looks like a commercial jet in the logo.
  23. Glad you're not sick.
  24. Unfortunately, we need reporters like Dunk who reports on the CFL first & doesn't appear to be using it as a temporary gig to becoming a Jays, Raptors or Leafs beat writer. He raises a few hackles but that is okay. I'm at the point where I don't care if we have a season or not. Clown show ownership & lack of leadership from the league along with Players who don't trust anything the CFL does is a bad mix for anything going forward seriously & to be successful. I read that the CFL upped the salaries from 33% to 50% to get the players to sign. Why the dicking around? They should have come to the table with the most honest & best proposal right from the start so as to not waste time . But that's not the CFL's way.
  25. But the rest of the team did. So it affects quarterbacking. Coaches & management changed. It was like a new team. The city was certainly different. Montreal didn't give a **** & they played in the vast empty Olympic Stadium. Later a dinky, run down, old Molson Stadium with a tree growing through a hole in the grandstand. I know what you're saying but Baltimore/Montreal was a different situation. Where Baltimore got 40,000 fans at Memorial Stadium, Montreal got 4,000.
