  1. Does Roxy's give out a stipend to anyone who mentions that restaurant's name? Just asking...
  2. We said that last year. One injury to Massoli & it was all over. They're talent is a hundred feet wide & 2 inches deep.
  3. It should. It'd be a travesty to pay him $70,000 Canadian after the season he had. just shows how the league should be opening up the salary cap by a minimum of a half mill. Should really be at least a million dollars higher. Every player deserves more money.
  4. When my son was playing junior college in Northern California. Sometimes I didn't feel like sleeping. So, around midnight I'd leave my hotel & drive 30 minutes to Yreka, CA just to walk around the local Walmart for some fun. Some of the late night shoppers were strange. One time I had on my San Francisco 49ers jacket. There were two Oakland Raider fans. Looking more like urchins than human. Both being like 5'4 inches tall, full of piercings & covered in Raider gear. They followed me around the store hurling 9er insults & telling me how great the City of Oakland was. They were a guy & a gal in their 20;s but they looked about 12. Having been to Oakland I just laughed at them & it really fired them up. Finally they left the store. there were other strange peop,e there. Some looked like lumberjacks. Others like survivalists. Rural Northern California in the mountains is a very interesting place.
  5. Wrong thread... This is non Bomber news. Nah, the way I see it, Lawler & Lewis will get $300 grand. Duke is a waste of a roster space but someone will sign him. Probably Chris Jones.
  6. I watched it & I didn't think it was that bad. Time will tell.
  7. I think it all depends on how Steinhauer manages the cap. The Cats may not be able to keep both Evans & Mitchell & be forced to go with either Schilz or an inexperienced young qb.
  8. Yeah, that's a strange quote by Naylor. Half a mill in hard money & it doesn't break the bank? WTH?
  9. Your comments. Something about old people restaurants that your mother likes & you don't. That when people like your Mom & I pass away these inferior greasy spoons will disappear. No, they won't. They'll always be around. People want cheaper places to eat especially with a family. Not more expensive. Quality is second. Cheap is always first. That will never change. Where are these superior yet affordable restaurants with higher standards you claim today's generation has been raised on?
  10. Unfortunately, I dozed off. Missed the final 10 minutes of the 4th quarter. I wasn't very happy. What happened?
  11. Couture may not be lost yet. You never know. The Ken Lawler situation is heating up. Sounds like 3 or 4 teams want to take a run at him with free agency so it looks like some dumbass GM will pay him in excess of $300 grand again when it's a fact paying big money to receivers doesn't win championships.
  12. Spam was invented in 1937 & used by US soldiers in WW2 so nice try. It's over 85 years old. Since society now has 2 income families to support the 2 SUV's in the driveway, the big house, the boat, trailer, snowmobiles or cottage at the lake, the credit card debt, bank loans as well as expensive groceries & inflation plus frazzled hockey & soccer Moms & Dads... just where did the "younger generation" you claim to be have time to eat better at higher quality & expensive restaurants? Mom & Dad both work, pick up the kids at daycare, are totally exhausted after work & then are expected to come home & whip up some high quality meal like a housewife from the 1950's??? Or take the kids to a restaurant that will cost $120 for 4??? Or how about the kids that come from single family homes where life is a struggle. C'mon. How ridiculous.
  13. Waste of food. Waste of energy. What kind of a carbon foorprint did this leave? Disgraceful. Angry demonstrations are breaking out all over the world in protest. This terrible travesty of food wastage got the attention of that Jailbird You Know Who.
  14. From what I know now, a 6L would be good for a single person. I can cook more than a kg of steak or chops in mine & it's 13L.
  15. The CFL also has to have more fan friendly things for families as well as individual fans during Grey Cup week. There also used to be a CFL thing where there were interactive games going on so that fans could participate. I wasn't in Regina but it seemed like the week of the Cup wasn't really much that didn't create a lot of buzz. Other than the award banquet. Also, I'm thinking along with the new guidelines on alcohol consumption, promoting events like hospitality suites with lots of alcohol involved may not be the best idea anymore.
  16. Brady sure reminds me of Mike Reilly two years ago. Doesn't smile or engage with his teammates during games. Seems aloof on the sidelines. Unlike Reilly who just looked like playing football became a job that he hated but was quiet, Brady just yells at everyone. Okay, Tom, we all know that you're an *******. If you hate it so much then just go away already.
  17. I thought single game betting was going to be worth $3 mill a year to CFL teams. No one ever talks about whether teams see any money from it. Ambrosie never says anything about it.
  18. Don't go into debt. Ha, ha. Sure.
  19. Not if it means losing an important free agent at another position.
  20. Can you import the discussion already started? I'd like to buy a pellet smoker.
  21. What that staffer did was stupid & once he/she are found out will probably be fired. If anyone thinks that this hasn't been done in the past with every government of every party federally & provincially then they're quite naive. Politicians have always interfered with the Rule of Law. These lawyers & academics huffing & puffing saying we're a country that relies on Rule of Law is a joke. We aren't equal & never have been.
