He just needs to get us more players like Loffler, and less like Richards and Waggonner.
1 hour ago, Mike said:Waggoner also rotates in on several defensive packages. Just because he's not a "starter" doesn't mean he's not contributing. He plays plenty and he does a good job.
And in my books Richards gets a pass because of that righteous fro he rocks.

I am sad to see Willy go but you can't argue with the haul Walters got for him.
As for Glenn welcome back. Releasing you back in the day ushered 7 years of loosing. Damn you Mike Kelly.
Hopefully we never see the need for you to play.

The closest he got to mid field was just within shouting range of the nearest offical.

After going over it and over it and over it I snapped a good screen shot where you can see Dressler's arm insdie Cox's arm. So Yes I agree with you. But Suitor yaps off about it saying he didn't think it was the right call. Then you have Pederson and now you have other players saying it was a bad call. But it's clear that its a PI!
To add to that earlier in the route Cox has an arm on Dressler's shoulder forcing Dressler to twist and Cox pushed him a yard off his route. I wish Jones could have challenged this call because if we could have seen the camera angle from the Rider end zone it would have better shown the illegal contact prior to the ball being in the air and the pi.

Looks like no Denmark or Roberts this week. Dressler smith Sheppard McDuffie Kohlert
Frederick Fogg Johnson Adams
Uggg to Johnson getting the start again. I was hoping after watching the film on Johnson missing tackle after tackle and just not covering well all game MOS would put Randle back in the lineup.
Assuming Randle can go.
The week is young, perhaps a change still occurs.

I remember him also playing one season for the Rams as a 33 year old rookie. He took the team pretty far that year but got shelled in the playoffs.
-
I was just a kid but I remember him being traded for Tommy Clements and then the next season both parties faced each other in the Grey Cup. I still remember Brock rifling balls and his receivers not being able to hold onto the ball.

IMO, one of the Riders biggest issues is their NI talent. Assume everybody is back and healthy next year, you have something like:
Best/Labatte/St. John and Clark on the OL
Bagg/Chambers at receiver
Cappicotti at DE.
Solid but Best/Bagg/Chambers/Labatte are injury risks and still no depth. Clark isn't particularly good at C and Chambers has underwhelmed at WR. No third and 4th in the draft either.
Ages of these guys next year. Best 34 Bagg 32 Labatte 31 Clark 29.
Outside of Clark you have 3 starters on the wrong side of 30. Not good when depth is a serious issue and you are in a rebuild. Who do they have in the wings to replace these guys (that are good)? My guess is Best retires and Labatte's game drops. I don't see a turnaround next year especially if they don't retain Durant.

Every Friend of mine and the group we sit with is not even close to being in full support of Jones. I think other teams fans are just exaggerating the support for something to throw in our faces.
It might just be the vocal majority on riderfans.com and other sites that allow comments that leaves us with that impression.

Yup Rider fans are the"ugly Americans" of the CFL.

We get to play these same craptacular Riders again on Saturday.
-
The next time bomber fans go to watch their team play in Regina they won't be receiving slivers up their Brent Butts every time they sit down on those crappy Taylor Field bleachers.

I'm super protective of Jones and have been all year. I'm a **** when we win and a baby when we lose. Just not going to put up with flat out made up BS that people post just to pile on. I'm surprised how chirpy some of you guys are. Squeaked out a win against the worst team in the league aided by some calls by the refs. Good job. Nichols again couldn't score when it mattered, just lucky things worked out the way they did. A win is a win, so full credit for winning today.
Fixed it for you.

lol when we suck we want pitchforks pointed at our board of directors, coaches and players, when riders suck the pitchforks get pointed at the league, officials, other fans and underpants gnomes who are clearly fixing these games
They are only critical of a coach or GM after they are sh it canned. It may be for fear of being labeled a troll.

Every player that got cut after one game rode underneath the bus on the way out of town.

Dressler was pushed off his route for nearly 10 yards...that was a bad camera angle. Watch it again and see how far Dressler gets pushed towards the sideline...contact all the way.

Agree with a lot that you have said. You know as well as I do that as the clock ticks down that a late call can decide a game. That late PI call on Dressler that took the ball away from the Riders was a back breaker? Yes or NO?
I saw a defender make contact with a receiver 5 yards off the line of scrimmage an force him off his route for nearly 10 yards before turning around and making a play on the ball.

Here's hoping he recovers quickly

Ok it should have happened today but next week has to be a blow out victory for the good guys. We won an ugly one in a hostile environment. This is a great thing.

Durant had all day in a clean pocket for most of the game. Durant has not had three seconds to throw the ball this season until today. Granted Johnson missing every tackle made things much worse on D.

I agree. JFG can hold his own and Richards needs to be tested out a bit too.
