I think you missed the tongue-in-cheek tone to TBurg's post. It was a response to a series of posts about Chamblin sitting courtside at a Raps game with Popp, so, PLP never had a shot at the Argo job, yadda, yadda, yadda. Even TBurg has a sense of humour.

WWE desperately needs competition. Vince loves wiping out the competition to his own detriment. Ted Turner was the best thing that happened to the WWE but Vince seem to despise him.

That would be timing and accounting treatment issue. You could do something in one year but it would correct itself the following year. Revenue recognition would be the one thing. I don't think, for an operation like the Bombers, where most of their revenue is earned during the middle months of their fiscal year, that they could do much. But, anyone could read the notes to the financial statements and see how the revenue was treated. Most people are not privy to the detailed audited financial statements of the Bombers, only the Annual Report.

They lost Conor Sheary, so I would imagine someone young and capable, would be a good fit for them. Let's say Petan and Lemieux. It would be nice to see a Lemieux in a Pens jersey once again, even if theirs no relation (blood or skill).

Life expectancy for humans in TNG was around 100 years. So, presumably, he could be 100 now and still be quite functional and active.

I used to see the Kingston Frontenacs in OHL. The old barn in K-town was horrendous but the new (ten years ago) K-Rock Centre was awesome. Lots of fun.

That's what it is. Also, I believe they count every spot in the box seats. Not that it amounts to much. I don't see the Bombers giving out many tickets. A few, near the end of the season, but less than 100, I'm sure.

I'm strongly considering buying season tickets to the Dub. I can afford to take both of my boys with the cheap tickets and free (or really cheap) parking. Right now, that's almost $80 (maybe more) for me and my boys, including snacks, tickets and parking to a Moose game.

Those are great points and, I believe, why it's been so successful. But Jeff Hamilton was making the point the other day, that a WHL team could add a lot of local talent and really cut into the Moose market. He made a compelling case of how much cheaper it will be (cheaper tickets, cheaper parking, cheaper concessions), while still providing an exciting, fun experience for all ages of hockey fans. I'm buying into his theory that this pushes the AHL out of the market, as a more affordable option for families.

Gotcha. Now, speculating on the obvious (no playoff, no major sporting event, etc) will mean lower secondary revenue, then I agree. But, I would expect that given the shortage of bigtime events this year.

You probably won't be tied into any the of the legal stuff. I would imagine, when he goes down, it will be for something he did in the campaign or deals he made with the Russians or Saudis. But, inevitably, you're standing next to him when he's impeached or resigns from office and that will be an image that will follow you around forever.

Yeah, I would say they have lots of problems. But, seriously, this is exactly the type of technology I would expect them to use to try to get to Alpha Centuri.

And, it's independently audited with a clean audit report. There is no way an auditor is signing off a clean audit report and then turning around telling some buddy that things are dodgy.
