    For 2015, Hurl stats shows....

    - 41 defensive tackles

    - 4 special teams tackles

    - 3 sacks

    - 2 interceptions

    - 1 forced fumble

For comparison 2012 first year Muamba played MLB

    65  Defensive Tackles

    20  Special Teams Tackles

      3  Sack

      0  Interceptions

      0  Fumble Recoveries

Not a big difference when you consider that Hurl still has 5 games to play this year

This is not Hurl's first year as a starter. He started last year for the Riders.

Compare Muamba’s second year stats to Hurls second year stats. It’s not even close.

Hurl is fine against the pass, but awful against the run.

    OK Muamba stats for 2013

    106    Defensive Ttackles

      18    Special Teams Tackles

        1    Sack

        1    Interception

        0    Fumble Recoveries

Again he has 5 games to play and while he won't get 106 tackles he may end up 55-65 .The question is Muamba worth 120k more than Hurl a year.  As for his play against the run it's tough when our DL cant handle other teams OL and they can get to him at will.  Tough to make a tackle a RB when your getting caved in.

  2. I still say those numbers won't put him into the elite impact category....if u want serviceable u got it I guess. I just think I would want more out of that spot.

Would you have considered Muamba elite after his 1st year at MLB, and yet after 2 years starting at MLB teams wanted to give him the moon. I'm the first to say i thought Hurl stunk in the first half of the season but in the second half he has contributed to the improvement of the defense. Lets see what he can do next year and then we'll see if we have a very good, maybe not elite MLB

  4. Big mistake by the Bombers.

When you have a chance to sign an outstanding Canadian starter, you do it.  @ 200k a year, it's worth it.

This will come back to haunt us.

I guess my question is, are the Bombers out because they don't want to spend the money on him, or does Muamba just not want to come back?

I think that's a little bit of both, but more so the situation the Bombers are in this year probably played a big factor.

staring to think the better prospect we picked up in the trade is Lemieux.

You're just starting to think this now? The Jets pretty much came out and said as much when the deal was made.

Never seen either of them play so yeah i like to make my own mind up after seeing them play. Never heard that but I did hear at the time of the trade that the Jets said that Armia was the more ready of the 2 to be in the NHL in a few years.

  6. No quote just my opinion from watching the last few games, if he would have impressed the jets management he would still be with the big team. He's been passed by Petan and Ehlers who are both younger and showed better so far in training camp. I'm not saying he will never be a Jet but at 22 his time is ticking also staring to think the better prospect we picked up in the trade is Lemieux.

  7. Armia did nothing. Morrissey will be a future top 4 but needs time. The rest aren't shocking. Interesting to note that Lipon survives this round. Lemieux has Jr eligibility left. Everyone who has to will clear waivers

Armia was a major disappointment  for the jets brass and Morrissey needs to learn the pro game. My big surprises are Lipon and Raffl as alot of people didn't think to much about Lipon at this time and Raffl came here out of left field. The rest is not that surprising as Petan and Ehlers will get some games at the beginning of the season i think. Raffl signs a 2 way contract do know if he starts with Moose or Jets.

  8. No doubt the Bruins are going to be a poor on defense and with Seidenberg  out with a injury that's not  easy to come back from, and Chara with his problems they might decide that they need help. On the other hand they probably know that they are not a  playoff team this year and go with what they have.
