  1. Alright just to play devil's advocate here... couldn't they get around this rule by just listing Streveler at another position? List him at RB, then have him take snaps (no different than a direct snap to Harris, which sometimes is run)?
  2. To me, this just further validates their plan to use Demski/Whitehead in unorthodox running patterns more often.
  3. >I'm going to pay exorbitant costs to watch a game when highlights are posted within 12 hours, full game posted to youtube within a week? Seriously, televised professional sports is about the fastest depreciating asset on the planet. Nope. Pfft... I will stick with FREE radio thank you very much.
  4. No, but I think Manny Arceneux and Geroy Simon would've spent alot more time trying to stay warm by a block heater as opposed to torching our secondary. A wintry game similar to the Easter Final would've favored that D, in my opinion.
  5. The record (per the 2017 CFL record book) for defensive touchdowns in a single game is 4, it happened when the Argos and Ti-Cats played on October 7, 2000. Can't find the box score, but according to Wikipedia the final score was 29-12 in favor of the Argos, the Argos had 3 interceptions for a touchdown, and a fumble return for a touchdown.
  6. Sadly never looked the same after he injured his achilles, always thought if that Grey Cup was anywhere other than a dome... they'd have brought it home.
  7. Way too much gloom in here, time for a GOOD bomber fan moment... my then-girlfriend (now wife) and I went to the 2011 GC in Vancouver, ended up going to the Riderville pavilion for Grey Cup festivities because some people said it was good (which, in fairness it was). Upon entering the pavilion, they gave you these green beads to wear, and she just straight up refused them lol. "Oh, I don't do green" ~ actual quote.
  8. Meth heads are way to tweaky to block properly in our offense.
  9. C'mon guys get with the conspiracy theories - obviously Matthews was released because he spiked Harris' gatorade with steroids out of jealousy.
  10. Sad but true reality, always makes me wonder how many of the greats used drugs to get ahead and never ended up getting caught...
  11. Uh... because he was cheating? If Harris didn't want to get suspended, he shouldn't have played with fire. The timing of the suspension sucks, sure, but some conspiracy nuts seem to think the league has it out for us (which is preposterous) and intentionally timed it for the back-to-back games with the Riders. The league took so long because they likely didn't want to suspend him until they were absolutely sure he was in violation of the drug policy. The CFL would look way worse if they suspended him prematurely, only to find out it was a false positive. What you are suggesting is nothing short of utilitarianism i.e. "greater good" mentality, the fact it's the highest rated game and he's a marquee player are irrelevant - rules are rules... the drug policy and suspension rules are in place to protect the sanctity of sportsmanship - they should be applied to Harris in the exact same fashion as any other player.
  12. At this point... put in McGuire as starting QB, then run a wishbone offense with Santiago at FB, Streveler and Demski as RBs lol. Seriously why even bother passing.
  13. Well on the plus side most of us don't live in Saskatchewan, so there's that.
  14. This, in and of itself, shows you believe.
  15. Many people, myself included, find special teams weird. Saskatchewan has both benefited from, and been the victim of, special teams play this year: The good: - Lead the league with best kickoff return average (31.5 yards per return, MTL is worst with 18.1, OTT is 5th with 24.2) - Lead the league for fewest yards allowed per kickoff return (17.6 yards per return, TOR is worst 27.6, WPG is 5th 23.3) - Lead the league in punting average (49.0 yards per punt, TOR is worst 41.5 yards per punt, MTL is 5th 44.5 yards/punt) The bad: SSK is dead last in several special teams categories (per CFL.ca, up to week 10): - They are ranked 8th in punt return average per return (9.0 yards per return, WPG is best at 13.0, OTT is 5th at 12.4 per return) - Tied with BC and CGY for most kick return TDs given up (4) - They give up a league-worst 18.3 yards on average per opponents kick return (WPG is best 8.3 yards/return, TOR is 5th at 10.8 yards/return) - They have the worst kickoff average (57.6, MTL is best with 69.4, TOR is 5th 63.3 yards/kickoff) Surprisingly, SSK is actually second-fewest in special teams penalties (16) behind only WPG (14) Personally, I think just like this past weekend, there will be one or two crucial plays or lapses in judgement (resulting in penalties) that dictate the outcome of the game. Should be a good one.
  16. Technically, we actually want BC to win, as we are more likely to lose out to Hamilton on a potential crossover (if HAM fell to 3rd in the East, they would be the team we'd have to be better than to crossover), whereas BC would practically have to win out to catch us now, especially since we have the season series over them.
  17. I am fine with this. Let them keep punching other teams in the mouth.
  18. Jefferson's unofficial stat line tonight: 3 sacks, 1 pass knockdown, 3 tackles, 2 forced fumbles, 1 onside kick recovery and a punt single (rouge) for a single point. HH - V. Diggs for Edmonton for tackling the ref - gave us 15 yards.
  19. Right... forgot about this. Onward and upwards!
  20. I am not sure how I feel about this... his win-loss record to-date is 52-47-0 (52.5 win %), whereas the lofty coaches he's saddled with are 63.75% (Bud Grant) and 62.32% (Cal Murphy).
  21. You're right... he was dressed provocatively too, did you see the way his helmet was strapped on? Practically begging for a blindside hit from behind.
  22. I think in policing, they refer to this as "victim shaming"
  23. Sure, then Nichols came back and they took it to 'em when it counted most in the playoffs.
  24. No, he did not get pulled, you're thinking of the Banjo Bowl. His stat line in the LDC was pretty ugly though: 14/26 (53.8%) for 166 yards, 1 TD, 2 INTs
