  1. same here.
  2. most sings the praises of every one he talks about, i dont think he has ever had a critical word about any player to the media.
  3. banks wasnt one of his guys though. frederick was here longer but got let go for newer dbs etc. It isnt all about tenure, though that does play a role in it. See guys like jackson jeffcoat, JSK, poop, an every ones favorite ex wr. this isnt a team where the most talented / best fits play. The most versatile guys play, and some random un seen factors apply (kuale factor) mostly most does seem to come around to the best players though.
  4. I kinda feel like lankford is the next hurl/kuale. He does flash a good play now and again but we have soo many better imp wrs on the roster right now its ridiculous.
  5. He was great at making big plays. Picks, forced fumbles, fumble recoveries and big returns. But his coverage was very spotty as a rookie too. Ideally imo we'd have him as an extra db not a starter.
  6. Hes an all purpose offensive weapons. return man, wr and rb. fast twitch, cut back shifty type runner. Hes a good pick up. When you get a chance to bring in a quality player to check out, especially in TC you take it. No matter the position thats how you build great depth. We seem to be running out alot of KRs right now though. Im hoping its a sign we wont settle for stankford again.
  7. What really got my attention is how well he reads and follows his blocking on returns. Good speed, great versatility, should be interesting to see what he can bring to tc.
  8. No joke. To get rid of jock, and hank on top of these changes would be incredible. Id give my left nut for pinball to join the panel. I feel like itd be good too if matty and duane ford swapped spots too. Duane has some great insight and analysis, but he is not a good or natural presenter / speaker. Matty is the opposite. I enjoy walby and westwood, id love to see walby join the tsn panel or do color etc. And i wouldnt mind seeing westwood rolled into abit more of the bomber/cjob coverage. Brown on the tsn panel would be great for every one too. I love him working with bob but he is such a bright, well spoken and interesting guy fans of all teams would love doug.
  9. Yeah I think the ladder is the purpose. A work out is curious. They must know what he brings to the table by now. Idk maybe they want to try and light a fire under mahoney. that would be a dream scenario. Masoli as back up would make us cup favorites imo.
  10. saints be praised!
  11. On the surface It seems like a poor change. (the reversion of the force out rule) If a wr is goes up, gets the ball, is going to come down in bounds and the db pushes him out that doesnt seem fair. But at the same time, the dbs can do soo little with out getting a flag. And the field is soo wide, the offense should be able to operate well with in that range. Now just let the wrs and dbs hand fight, but not push off and im happy. if 65 yards isnt wide enough the offense is doing it wrong. Plus the throw to the side line is not exactly a lethal offensive weapon.
  12. Wow, that is a hell of a story. Good for him, i have no doubt he has turned it around if he is here. Thats the truth.
  13. Id be pretty happy with that if he shook loose. I wouldnt trade for him right now though.
  14. Makes me wonder if streveler is too raw. Not a bad move. Knows the team, system, coaches etc. Great athlete very un polished and low on over all experience. Showed some flashes with the riders last year though. Or maybe mahoney is on the way out. From all reports he has sounded far behind and very raw.
  15. would be nice if we stopped running him on those sweep plays. We have the depth at wr we should be able to help him stay healthy especially late in the season.
  16. shawn lemon maybe? Joe flemming for sure... I would suspect a lack of DL trades stem from teams hoarding linemen. can always hide guys on injured list and in active hoping to trade em.
  17. Im sure ojo will catch on some place soon enough. Imo getting rid of ojo and keeping jovon is nutty.
  18. man that guy was a human cheat code. if he coulda stayed healthy he would have been a mega star.
  19. If faith is as much further along as he seems (it is early though I know) I wonder if we go with jake and faith at one DT spot to get foketi on the OL rather then going with newf.
  20. See that alot in these highlights. I usually play em muted. Idk if he was behind it but yeah. I dont get it either.
  21. studs. randle has better production at the NFL level then a fist full of our prospects in camp had in college. Crazy deep with talent this year. Is it like this for every team i wonder.
  22. How many of those 6 dl games where when we were refusing to use our best line up and forcing thomas in, not starting jeffcoat etc though. We struggled against the run vs every team that wanted to run, for idk 3 years? Any time a team has decided to focus on the run theyve had their way with our D for far too long. The hurl effect. May be right, but we all know mos loves to roll with a crazy amount of Lbers. I think we will see a lot less rotation of the front 7 this year, and smaller numbers of players at both positions.
  23. In the nfl. Out side of the nfl, arena league guys are playing for macdonalds/walmart money. the spring league doesnt even pay guys, it feeds em and gives them housing. I bet the target cap range for the start up leagues (if they start and play, Id bet every thing i own one fails before launch) is in the cfl salary cap range. iirc manziel has a ton of incentives in his deal. But does rome make 130k for half a year? Maybe he does. Idk I cant stand him. I know a lot of teams and players (vets) are going 1 year deals. I really hope the bombers and star players lock up 2 year deals for the new start ups initial season. The value of a second league to recycle talent is very high. But the lure of playing in the states, with out canadian taxes and diminished power of the dollar could make for a tough couple years here. Id love to see the two leagues merge and run a none or minimal over lap season with about half our cap size.
  24. We used 7 when we did a heavy rotation on the DL and hadnt found our starters. I dont think that is the case this year. Teams carry 6 ol for 5 spots. Also we have some larger LBers that play DE in a pinch. If we still had jake thomas id be all in favor of an extra DL. Marouf may become the extra DL who can back up on the OL as well. Corney might be big enough to be the 4th DT, and thomas miles has the size to back up at end as well.
  25. I wouldnt look too hard at flanders "record". He was on the roster for 10 games last year. He had 4 games with more then 20 yards rushing, and 5 with more then 20 yards receiving. 254 rushing for the year 1 rushing td, 206 receiving with 3 tds through the air. Flanders is a real good football player. He could easily be a starter in the league for a few teams. It isnt worth while to use a DI as a fake out, and we havent used flanders enough for a DI. Need more useage out of him or the position. Who would we take off as an imp to get him on the field now though? We had holes at wr last year we filled with flanders. talent and experience wise we dont have that now. I think roh is gonna win that spot. Actually we do have some very good NI db talent, we just dont have them lined up well. we dont have one who can start and another who can back em up at the same position. I dont think we will carry a DI DL very long, not with corney.
