Injury Report, Lineup Changes, Roster Moves
wbbfan replied to BigBlue's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
If all that amazingness transpires I think gray goes to 6th ol. He’s more versatile and better at te in heavy set than kola or Dobson. I could see us rolling 7 ol. Other wise I believe the back up center is Nuefeld but injured idk if he could snap the ball. It’s nice to be able to roll out 7 true ol too. Basically no defense can roll out a front with that kind of mass. You can go from shorty yardage to hurry up with the back up for strevy type packages. -

The benefits especially. In the us that is nothing to sneeze at. Especially for old football players. -

Dd is the nastiest piece of business on a regular day. Pity the dl opposed to him. Unless it’s Marino. good for kongbo and streveler. Though honestly I think streveler is best off on another teams pr. I hope he gets a real shot. -

Oh damn. If we get ba and couture back that’s a power shift. always a question with this kind of injury. Man I hope he’s good old ba. A bomber win is inevitable with all these guys back. -
2022 CFL Season - Non Back 2 Back Champs News

This must be a record for the number of trades in a year for the cfl. but it seems like the same dumpster fires are just moving none impactful pieces around most of the time. Bc has just been throwing crazy money around trying to get good. Plus with out starting qb money on the books going into this year they spent extra else where. sucks for Kenny. I don’t blame him for jumping at that insane payday. -

According to 3dn in the off season woody baron got 200k and stove got a deal that would’ve paid him 160k. Both have been on the 6 game all year. They also reported that vajs hard money this year was 390k but that his base was only 187k and that he got a 190k signing bonus. -

Dark days. But long past. The amount of series sweeps and back to back home and away wins this team has had in the dynasty era doesn’t leave me with any worry. -

Expecting respect for a 3rd place rider team that’s on the fringe of the cross over or missing the play offs on LD vs a bomber team with 1 loss and two back to back championships is pretty silly. also any bomber fan will know full well that this bomber team doesn’t take any team lightly. Aiming for 1-0 every week. We’ve handled the riders for a few years now when they’ve been healthy. Now they have a banged up qb and have still failed to build an ol. The only thing their d or really their team is good at is pass rushing. Prukop and brown could beat these guys. -

Doesn’t mean much. The riders kept trying to buy ol failing then watching them leave and succeed else where. he got cut out of camp here because of we had drake Nevis stove and Jake. Then he played 1 game in Montreal. He was very good in the year he was here. -

Right now I’d say Danny mac is the best us scout in the cfl. every team in the league should go after him if he’s available. That’s a guy you could give elite wr money for a very long time. Best guard in the league by a mile. a guy who can step in and play any role you want him to in the cfl including nose. It’d be damn hard to find a better option than Bryant at dt mid season. plus not only does he have cfl experience, he has fifo experience. Find a better guy who fifos and that’ll be a real feat. -

Can you imagine if we got Bryant kongbo and desjarlais back? We’d be laughing. Streveler is a perfect fit for that offense. His legs supplement their lack of a run game and their ol. -

Bryant was a stud up the middle. He would be a killer pick up. plenty of guys bounce back n forth. Have to remember the majority of our guys were in nfl camps before coming to the cfl. Guys like bolden and sellers bounced back and forth a couple times. We cut that returner before grant for him to go back to the nfl and then back to the cfl. Stoudemire? qbs and ol are also different. They are in such high demand right now the window is larger than say de or db. -

Would’ve also said no way the jets cut him lol. He sure should get another shot. Idk how much eligibility he has for the nfl pr left either. Idk he’d roster and he’d get some action. For sure a game or two at the end of the season. But he wouldn’t start. It’s a tough position for him. And not fair given what he’s done and his skills. I don’t envy the decision he has to make. He is young enough though to come back here and go back down south with more leverage. I hope what ever he chooses works out well for him. -

Man I would love to get streveler back here. But we also need more nfl tc cut reinforcements than usual right now. Dl wil db rb/wr and ol. Probably more than one db too. On top of if we manage to get one of our guys back from an nfl camp. Any of whom would be huge. I feel like they are also high on brown and prukop is cheap. But strevy as qb2 bumping off prukop would be huge. -

Oday is no choir boy him self and I’m sure he could muster up a couple other players to escort Marino out. I think Marino would play the victim and be expecting a call from the rest of the league. He’d think he was gonna cash in. And he would get a real rude awakening. Stern talked the talk but didn’t walk to walk. You can’t be on social media trolling and guaranteeing wins then not even go to the damned game. That’s not interacting with fans that’s him catering to his own ego. Doman walks the walk. -

Now why do you even bring a guy in if you are gonna cut him if he lights the world on fire that’s just piss poor roster management. Teams that carry tcf especially at qb in the nfl are cannon fodder for the rest of the nfl. -

9500 per week. So 171k ish per season us. So 222k a year up here with exchange. In reality probably more buying power here. Living expense in New England probably higher. Idk the nuance of the taxes but I’m sure Uncle Sam and uncle Trudeau would take more than just taxes up here. With our question id offer him 250k range per year for 1 year or up to 6+. He’s worth more than Kenny lawler. -

I feel like he was all bark. Dorman in bc is what he should’ve been. Sounds like khari dodged a bullet. What a gong show which guy on dragons den isn’t the annoying one? Lol idk any thing about this guy but seems like the problem is not him or stern to me https://3downnation.com/2019/06/05/dragons-den-vincenzo-guzzo-too-hot-for-the-cfl-to-handle/ -

Yeah not to mention the ridiculousness that is the franchise tag. It’s the anti nba. I mean unrestricted free agency only came in 1993. I think it’s just the owners are much stronger and maybe the pa is afraid to rock the boat too hard. A lot of the revenue streams are close partners with the owners not the league or product. -

That’s both really interesting and kinda sad. Considering the wear a football player faces and how much more money is made in the nfl. I’ll have to check out mlb now it’ll be interesting to see how they do it with the minors. Sounds like they really like him. He might sit on their pr a bit to keep pushing the young guys. And he might get another offer or two based on his strong reviews in Broncos camp. But he won’t become a starter in the nfl that way. But he also won’t become a starter in the nfl by backing up and rotating in the cfl. That said it’d be huge to get him back. -

That’s true. And it’d be good for the league if they trimmed from the top 20% to fund it and reduce the entry limits. any one know what comparable leagues pension is like? -

The ability of people to defend plop are evaporating more and more every day. The wrs we bring in don’t suck. Strevy can throw. He didn’t win with Masoli. Super proud of strevy. I’m sure he will get an nfl job this year some where if the jets cut him. -

I wish I got a nothing pension of 50k a year. It also includes significant health care too. The minimum pension covers about 100% of the deductible and leaves them with around 30k a year. also have to remember that not a ton of pro athletes do well after retirement financially. Any time you get huge sums of cash or pay with out the financial skills normally attributed to earning that kind of cash the rate of bankruptcy goes sky high. It’s a great safety net for a lot of guys. for guys who come from poverty, learning to manage a 6 or 7 figure income is harder than staying in the league. id like to see the pension be much better for guys who don’t play a lot of games or earn big bucks. If you go through three training camps and pre seasons with out playing enough games to earn the pension you’ve still put your body through a whole lot.
