Im going with Jesse. Mainly because I think he's the only one closer to his athletic prime then to CPP. Not the top of my list of guys, but at this point Id say try any thing.

Back up teams guy for novak too. He does have solid potential in that role but hes soo burried its rediculous to carry him. The only change too. Boy coaches better have their best game of the year.

Lawler has always been extremely streaky and fickle. We have drafted 3 WRs in the past 2 years, but all of them are TCF at best. Corcoran is the best of that bunch. 2 picks in the 6th and 1 in the 5th is generally as good as doing nothing, though. We could have drafted guys, though. We had opportunities. But even then, instead of coaching them up and leaning on guys like clercius and shay we let them linger in barely used roles. Even smith has been pushed into action not because he has excelled, which he has, but because of 2 injuries at his position.

Jake was an excellent role player. A career overachiever who was instrumental in some of our best DLs and Ds doing what they did. He ate a whole lot of $#*& so other guys could eat steak, so to speak. He was never a guy who should be taking 800 snaps a season, though. He should've packed it in 2 years earlier and should've been playing 200- 300-ish snaps a season before that. Going away from the IMP NT beside him was a huge mistake as well. He was already too late in his career to be the primary nose next to an IMP 3-tech. Going to the full NI DT spot made us even worse. Even with Cam, the 3rd guy was always so bad. We changed the philosophy to make Jake a starter, then a feature of the defence, and it made us worse continually. And still today, we don't carry an IMP nose, didnt bring any into camp, and only 1 imp DT 3tech.

but is he coaching them in night life stuff? LOL Coaching kids is a whole different thing. I like the fit for him though. I wonder if those kids know the incredible level of talent they are coached by. 100%. In football, it tends to be the fringe guys who have the incredible desire as well. That's why you see guys like Kingsbury, who was a very fringy pro, to guys like maccioca who was a fringe everything.

Great point. I was thinking about that, realistically if we had kept Wheatfall I can't imagine we wouldn've signed Nield. I would take nield between the two as well. Better fit and passport. Plus reliable. We are just using Nield really really poorly currently.

Nah, we’d a made him worse. Doesn’t matter how many no3 wrs you have that aren’t consistent, it won’t make you better. he didn’t make us better last year either. He needed a change of scenery and usage that’d fit his skill set.

wheatfall is playing well, but he’s not the answer here and not a premium guy. Hes a slightly different skill set than wilson but he’s the same role guy.

Gm is a unique skill set. People are quick to forget that maciocia hustled his way into an unpaid intern gig under jim popp, after two years coaching high school football.

even hodge made light of this. we need to get off the 3rd canadian and give singer a chance. this. especially when the draft had solid developmental guys available in the mid rounds. the guys we did pick were tcf at best. but we really needed the two more lbers we picked in front of that tim white is a good addition, but he’s not the guy to build a wr core around. same with demski. We need the wr you build around. Wr core is one of the most important position groups in the cfl. And we don’t have the bedrock guy.

Looking at our remaining schedule, I think you have a good chance of being gifted a 1 win in a split of the LDC/BJB. A chance we beat tor and BC. That would make us an 8 win team. Imo, that won't be good enough for the crossover. For 9 wins, the next best chance would be to take 1 of the 2 from edmonton.

I kind of want to re look up the snap, im pretty sure no one called it or noted it. And we've seen that many times this year. Only one other time was near that violent though. Brady was sent to the other side of the field, which just worsens things. Atleast if we sent him to the blind side he could pick up an emergency block or a blitz beater route. Not that zach would pick it up. Its the big boss work that he doesn't want to do. Not a ton of additions that can be made mid season any more sadly.
