  1. https://globalnews.ca/news/4171897/north-south-korea-complete-denuclearization-end-of-korean-war/ Still pretty early but this looks a pretty monumental step in the right direction. Pretty historic moment to see two leaders cross into the other territory, too. (http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/south-korea-north-friday-summit-1.4636110)
  2. Another epic choke in DC. It's like the same movie over and over. The Sharks were absolutely annihilated last night.
  3. Fair enough. I expected a playoff berth, too. But finishing second overall...? I don't think anyone saw that coming.
  4. Many thought the same of the Jets going into the season. Maurice had been on the hot seat the previous two seasons, his contract extension wasn't well received, and retaining him would be a mistake by TNSE. The Bruins finished third in the Atlantic Division last season with 95 points and made the playoffs. The Jets, OTOH, finished with 87 points and well out of a playoff spot. Just my two pennies but I think taking the latter from basically a bottom feeder to second in the entire NHL is considerably more impressive than what the former accomplished. In any case, Gallant is winning the Jack Adams this year. It's not even close.
  5. The Lightning are going to dismantle the Bruins.
  6. Anyone know this SJWD? Ah, the rampant stupidity on Twitter never ceases to amaze.
  7. Does he, though? Not sure if it takes guts to be a petulant, hateful, biased homer on social media. And the fact he's reacted in such a way to a player on an opposing team deactivating a Twitter account tells me he's the one who's mentally weak and that Mitchell gets to live rent-free in his green-soaked cranium. Rod Pedersen is such a turd. He represents Rider Nation well.
  8. No kidding. Be still, my foolish heart. Unreal game to attend. The energy from the get go was phenomenal and it only crazier as the Jets started piling on goals. So many awesome chants, too! Best game I've attended thus far.
  9. Looks like the Leafs will force game 7. Doubt creeping into the Bruins' minds...? Sure looks like it.
  10. Stole the show last night in Beantown, IMO. Easily the Leafs' MVP. Some really exciting hockey in the first round and a few surprises (Ducks and Kings getting swept, Avs putting up a solid fight) so far.
  11. Really, Elmer Fudd? One missed call in the first period cost your team an entire game? It's moronic comments like these that make me enjoy how much of a postseason failure he continues to be as a coach. #schadenfreude
  12. What a performance by Hellebuyck tonight. This kid's ability to rebound this season is absolutely remarkable. This city is going to erupt on Friday night!
  13. Along with the Ducks. Piss on that garbage dump of a team.
  14. Massive loss for the Wild. Brutal news but the Jets need to capitalize on it and get a win tonight.
  15. His attitude is absolute ******* garbage. Enjoy the gong show in la belle province, Henoc.
  16. Sure thing, Kavis. Stability is your middle name.
  17. They definitely got away from what worked for them in the first two games. Discipline was questionable and the PK was lousy. Defensively, they were too loose and gave a somewhat shaky Hellebuyck very little help at times. Their transition game was also sloppy and they didn't seem to skate as quickly or pass as crisply as games 1 & 2. Just gotta learn from this loss and be better on Tuesday.
  18. Outside of Dubynk, they sure didn't show up to compete. So, classless goonery it is. The Jets need to pot a couple early tonight and rattle the Wild worse than they already are.
  19. Total **** move by Winnik the other night. Now he's made himself a target, though. I had a feeling Suter out would affect the Wild but I didn't think they'd be this bad. Dubnyk is carrying that team.
  20. Not the first time Romanuk has done that, either. What a putz.
