  1. That's a big if. And that still wouldn't help the ratio.
  2. More on this whole debacle from Walters: Eat turds, Henoc.
  3. Not the result I was hoping for but greed is alive and well. Time to move on.
  4. It is what it is. You can't run Hellebuyck into the ground with the playoffs only a few weeks away and with injuries to Mason and Hutchinson, it's next man up in this case. It's not an enviable situation for either Comrie or the rest of the team; the Kings usually play well here and they're fighting for the playoff lives. This will be a good test for Comrie, though.

  6. Why is it bad to want a certain matchup? Rivalries within the division/conference are fun, especially in the post-season. And you know karma isn't a thing, right...?
  7. Really? You shouldn't be. It's the same old same: get sick of a particular ruling party's policies and demand change by voting them out for the opposing party. Liberal gov't, get sick of their policies and vote them out; Conservative gov't, get sick of their policies and vote them out; Liberal gov't, get sick of their policies and vote them out; etc., etc. It never changes and regular folks wind up getting stuck with the bill. Partisan politics are a polarized disaster these days. Our great nation is no exception, unfortunately.
  8. Trouba's head snaps back after the collision. He then appears dazed and unable to maintain his balance. I'm not sure what else it could be other than a concussion.
  9. Kulikov out is a big loss. Trouba should be back sooner than later and he and Morrissey are going to be a key tandem in the post-season.
  10. He got rocked by Benn and went all newborn calf legs there. That was a scary sight and I don't expect to see him back until late March. Bishop out for a while: https://www.tsn.ca/stars-g-bishop-out-at-least-two-weeks-1.1031030
  11. Tanev on the bottom 6 makes more sense than Roslovic (a top 6 player). Tanev is also a stronger player defensively and can be put out on the PK. The right decision was made.
  12. According to his Twitter bio: "Described as an unwavering patriot. Truth sounds like hate to those who hate the Truth. Facts aren't racist. Retired Lawyer."
  13. That's a massive loss on the blue line. ******' hell.
  14. My thoughts exactly. If Muamba's ask seems unreasonable to Walters, it leads me to think the team is tighter to the cap than I thought. And that's troubling.
  15. This warms the cockles of my heart. What a game last night. Plenty of scoring to go around and that should only continue with more key pieces returning from IR.
  16. That's gotta be among the worst in the NHL. And yet, the Jets still are in the top 5 overall... That's pretty unreal. And here's a pretty good read from ESPN on the Jets: http://www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/id/22745770/nhl-why-winnipeg-jets-envy-30-other-teams
  17. Nope, nobody is forgetting any of that. I figured what I posted was obvious, so allow me to clarify: I'm saying there is a noticeable difference between the two organizations in terms of culture if you compare the frequency of these types of incidents and luck has practically nothing to do with it.
  18. Ken Wiebe speculated as much yesterday: I sure hope that isn't the case but with how this team's fortunes have gone injury-wise lately, I wouldn't hold my breath.
  19. Oh, c'mon... We're going into year 5 of the Walters/O'Shea regime, two men who both value professionalism and character as much as skill and football IQ. There's nothing to suggest "it could just as easily be players on this team" because no player is bigger than the team and each one represents the WFC even when he isn't on the field. It's a difference in culture between two organizations. Luck has next to nothing to do with it, unless you believe Jones is unlucky to have hired players who are known for being about themselves first and foremost... A trait he himself demonstrates often.
