  1. Karma's a *****, ain't it. It's almost as if playing like a dirtbag puts a target on your back.
  2. Shopping Card Theory in action. Only in this case, it has the potential to put others at risk.
  3. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/coronavirus-covid19-world-aug-13-1.5684551 And then we have more hilarity from the COVIDiot Brigade: https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/coronavirus-charter-challenge-1.5680988 Un-*******-believable.
  4. This reply, though: Not sure if this billboard is real but I hope so. And if not, it shouldbe. COVID Ron is a ******* turd.
  5. Well, Jr. has been triggered on Twitter since the announcement: These next few months are going to be a ****-show.
  6. Korpisalo set a new record for saves made in playoff game with 85. The previous record was Kelly Hrudey at 72 in 1987. Pretty unreal.

  9. https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/coronavirus-covid19-world-aug-10-1.5681643 Russia can certainly be trusted it has a viable, safe vaccine. It's never misled the world before.
  10. I think Ambrosie did it to curry favour with Bettman so they can have another outdoor game at a CFL venue, which will of course save the CFL with a massive payday and make Randy Bo Bandy the greatest CFL commish evah and Bettman some sort of Canadian football folk hero. This in turn will enrage Wade Miller, who no doubt has CFL commissioner aspirations, and he'll take it out on Walters and O'Shea, effectively ending the Canadian Mafia, much to the delight of Dave Dickenson. /s In all seriousness, though, it was just pure chance the Rangers got the first overall pick. Of course it's a win for the league and a big market in the Big Apple but I don't think any shenanigans were afoot. As for the Jets, taking a defenseman or a centre at 10th overall seems like a no brainer. Sanderson or Guhle would be nice adds on the blue line; Perfetti, Lundell, or Mercer would be nice adds down the middle. 11. Most gas stations have paper towel dispensers at the pumps (at least the Shell stations I use, anyway). Even before all this pandemic crap, I'd use a generous amount when handling the pumps, be it the grade select button or the nozzle. Now I make sure to use hand sanitizer when I'm done.
  12. To expand somewhat on what @MrFreakzilla posted, the top four teams in each conference (PHI, TBL, WSH, BOS in the East; STL, VGK, DAL, COL in the West) were all guaranteed a spot in the NHL playoffs. However, during the qualifying round between the 16 other teams, they played a three-game round robin amongst themselves within their respective conference to determine seeding for the opening round of the playoffs. https://www.nhl.com/stanley-cup-qualifiers
  13. How did he look "terrible" on it? Bennett was left alone in front and he potted the goal. If you're going to crap on him out for checking out, at least do the same for the other five players on that second goal. They all stopped playing despite there being a couple of seconds left on the clock. I agree on Shore, whose defensive zone play is mediocre at best, but he didn't even try to tie up Dube who got two whacks at the puck before scoring.
  14. Hellebuyck got no help on either goal. Shore's defending on the first goal was embarrassing. On the second goal, all five players are just watching as if the period had already ended. Mental sharpness just isn't there when it needs to be.
  15. Typical bullshit favouritism. A $40M-ish loan to keep the CFL alive is apparently out of the question but it's totally alright to continue bailing out greedy airlines, shady energy companies, corrupt banks and lenders, archaic media corporations, and greasy communications providers - often getting nothing in return while lobbyist jerkoffs cry for more. Unless taxpayers getting constantly bent over by these same fuckers counts as a return. How utterly ******* pathetic.
  16. Even to have a guy like Chiarot on the back end would be nice. That physical presence is nice to have in situations where the netfront needs to be cleared to prevent a goal like the one Roussel scored the other night.

  19. That isn't true. The N95 filtration mask in its current design has been around for nearly 50 years and wasn't even initially designed for use in the medical industry/health care. (https://thedcapage.blog/2020/03/26/from-the-industrial-to-the-medical-evolution-of-the-n95-respirator/) Fit testing is required for tight seal particulate filtration masks (N95, P100, etc.) in order to maximize the efficacy of the mask while preventing leaks, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the type of job or occupation the wearer has. Reuse can be possible but only if the mask itself has not been compromised. Even touching the mask with a contaminated hand can render it useless.
