  1. just saw the news that James" Quick " Parker just passed away. Only 60 years old! He was one of a kind. Dang it all anyway
  2. I take exception to this statement - as our local village idiot I do not like to be compared to Rob Peterson - you are giving village idiot's a bad name
  3. Yes agree 100% - time to move on. That boat just will not float!
  4. saw that over on the RF site. may be speculation but at this point in time if he wants to follow the money (which seems to be the plan) and the Als are offering big bucks than that is where he will end up. And for us just time to move on. The upside IMHO is that we at least do not have to see Hurl whiff on a tackle anymore.
  5. Yeah I remember how great it was before Mykaussie took over. I think he is the only one posting anything there although I do see GWN (Great White North) still posting there. I remember when I first started over there at the beginning - everyone was there and really some great discussions going on! There was a poster there by the name of Nanook (I think he was Canadian Military - stationed up in Cold Lake I think). We use to really get into it but all in good fun.
  6. Was the original creator and owner of the site someone who went by the handle "Chaps"? Always wonder where all the old posters from TotalCFL ended up? I never go to the site now but do remember the early years when just about everyone that went on to form other sites was posting there (including Colin Unger - Mookie in those days).
  7. interesting I did not know that the site was under new ownership. Was the original owner a fellow named "Champs" or "Chaps" I remember some one that use to post over on the old TOTALCFL site before the Aussie took over - creating a site for Rider fans. I thought he still ran it so to speak? I post over there every so often and keep it very very neutral as i do agree it seems that it is easy to get banded over there.
  8. I sort of have to agree - time to move on one would think.
  9. Does anyone think there will be any interest ind D'Aguilar - don't know much about him. Castillo should be able to catch on somewhere one would think.
  10. Amen! I remember Leo being interviewed by Cactus Jack on OB way way back when. He was really fun to listen to. Really Brash and loved to take his shots at just about every other team in the CFL. Loved it! I think he and Matty when Matty was with the Tribune really had a feud going.
  11. just saw it confirmed on TSN - do you guys think we should take a run at him?
  12. I can not help but agree 100% here. More of the same in 2018 given this decision to keep Hall as the DC. Does not give me much hope for 2018 that's for sure. Now all we have to hear is that Moss is excited to announce that Sam Hurl will be our starting MLB in 2018. Oh Joy!
  13. What's wrong with firing someone on Jan 1? Just took a look at the NFL today and looks like 4 or so were turfed today (or maybe yesterday before midnight etc.) Good a day as any to get a new DC IMHO!
  14. Well it is now Jan 1 2018 and Richie Hall still seems to be employed by the Bombers as their DC! I have a bad feeling that he will continue in that roll in 2018. And with Sam Hurl as our MLB - just not that enthused about 2018 as far as the Bombers chances are concerned. Hope I am 100% wrong but guess time will tell.
  15. Me too - been in that camp solidly for some time - even pitched my tent!
  16. I agree. The Argos need the ability to raise their public profile and get the marketing dollars to do so. And the CFL does need a team in Toronto no matter how many folks think otherwise.
  17. I wonder if anyone remembers when Miles played LT and Walby was RT for the Big Blue. Both had a radio show on CJOB for awhile. I really enjoyed Miles's time with the Big Blue - him and Walby were one heck of a pair of OT's
  18. Can not help but agree - seems we have the talent on the playing field defensive wise - therefore can only assume it is either the system or the guy in charge of the system, or maybe both? Time for Mr. Hall to seek employment elsewhere.
  19. Ok it is now December 1st 2017 - Why is Richie Hall still our DC? Inquiring minds want to know!
  20. Boy does that pretty well summarize the Stamps last two years.
  21. I just googled his salary at Nebraska - he started at $2.7M plus benefits (which I understand is significant). And to boot he was one of the lowest paid Big 12 coaches. Big dollars down there!
  22. I can not disagree - I think overall things have come together over the past 3 years under Walters and MOS with the exception of the defense. I agree that with even an average defense we would have at the least made it to the Western Final. If the Bombers have any hope to move on to the next level, the defense needs to be restructured. Hall needs to be let go and a number of changes need to take place - the first of course is to bring in a run stopping MLB. If Hall is allowed to continue on then I really do not see much hope for the team to advance beyond where they finished in 2017.
  23. Just saw the highlights (or low lights if you are a Corn-husker Fan) of the Iowa-Nebraska game. Followed up this morning and saw that Mike Riley (the guy that took the Bombers to the Grey Cup) and the HC at Nebraska was fired either late yesterday or early this morning. Got to wonder where he might end up?
