  1. I can't possibly see him playing this week, or at all this season for that matter! I think this is just a tactic to maybe have Montreal prep for both... His shoulder is done, and I'd be shocked if he was back next year as their starter without someone else in there competing for the starting spot!

Anyone think he'll actually play? I haven't heard much on his injury since he went down against Ottawa.

  2. I'd say Lions because I have a bunch of friends and family who are Lions fan, and it's the city I've seen the most games outside of Winnipeg! We've had a history of trading players with them, and like someone else said, would like to see Glenn get a cup! Always felt bad about how Kelly ran him out of town, even when he was our best option! Harris is from here too! Really though, so long as the Riders lose, I don't care who wins the cup!

  3. hey rag on me all you want for putting Crompton ahead of Willy.... but don't put Mitchell at #1 and expect me to take your seriously.  He's a bi-product of a great offence, propped up by an awesome running game.  Bo Levi has managed games well, but hasn't done anything that makes him jump off the map ahead of everyone else.

    In MY order:  1. Ray 2. Reilly 3. Mitchell 4. Glenn 5. Durant 6. Crompton 7. Willy 8. Collaros 9. Burris

But... you can't truly rate just a QB's pure ability.  You have to have a good team around you to get everything rolling.  Durant & Collaros could both be higher on this list, but by virtue of injury, Collaros needs to work his way back up, and Durant is a proven QB (although, I still don't think an outstanding one!).

  4. My only concern... ONLY... with Willy, is whether or not he's perma fried from what happened this year. If he comes out next year as he did this season, and lights it up outta the gate, all is well.

He'll be fine.... He, like many of us just want this season over with. Chalk it up to experience and a poor Oline, and build from there! If he lets this season bother him, he'll flop. I don't see it going that way though!

He'll have some new hogs up front next season and will continue to develop.

  5. well you're going to have 2-3 maybe 4 more times to watch Crompton this season.... you tell me that after the season is done.  Again... I like Willy, but I also think that Crompton is starting to settle in, and is looking quite good back there.  Based on wins alone, I give Crompton the edge at this point.  More wins in half the games, hard to argue with...  oh, and I hate the Als...

  6. Crompton has started 8 games and is 7-1 as a starter.... if you look at his attempts & completions, they are roughly half of what Willy's are with more yardage, and more importantly, wins.

I like Willy, and I think he's got great potential to be a starter here for a long time (with the right pieces around him), I just think there's other young QBs this year who have progressed just as well, and in some cases better than Willy... again, with a better supporting cast!

  7. I can't remember which year it was, but Calvillo was having a tough time getting his offence going and Trestman pulled him aside and made him watch a couple series from the sidelines to get a different look. Other coaches do it.....

Why, when Willy failed to put any sort of a decent drive together (that wasn't aided by BC penalties), wouldn't O'Shea sit him aside for a couple series to have a peek? He was clearly having trouble. Is his 'confidence' that fragile that he couldn't take it? Seems O'Shea wants to protect Drew at all costs, including with the game on the line. I honestly think Marve could have helped wi.n that game. This is more about O'Shea & Willy's dualing incapability to pull the trigger, than saying we lost cause Marve didn't play!

#16 better start in Calgary though!
