Toronto had a great year. Interesting how that inch defines who's name gets etch on the Cup and thus be immortalized. You have to be concerned though... familiar lead up to an epic finish yet two GCs loss in very similar fashion- a pattern is emerging. the edge the 2019 iteration of this team had- has dulled, blunted if you will. Can that be restored through FA, draft picks and roster management, possibly- but there is something that is still missing.

That was playcalling more than anything. I won't blame Zach for this loss.

On our last drive to kill the clock... on second and long, I was screaming at the TV to run the ******* ball.. but no.. go back to pass and sac... At that point they really should have imposed their will on the Als and just run it.

Recent Back to Back Champs. 4 trips to the GC in 4 years. Literally inches away from those two losses being wins... Locker Room culture that is the envy of the league... A HC that players would do anything for? a guaudy what 59-19 since 2019.... Being the ******* benchmark for teams year in and year out since 2019... We make every team better. Never watch the highlights until 48 hours after a GC loss. Ever. The next time I sit at my computer after a loss- I close all my sports tabs and just rant here. It is waaaaay healthier this way.

Sure- but at that point, I had very little faith in our defense to pull out a stop.

One of my Keys to the game was whether or not the Als could generate offensive points- I said to my nephew that, if the Als can do that- we're hooped. After that TD to begin the second half, I gave him that "see... here we go" look and prepared him for the worst.

I think he did. The D just didn't execute the plan. The Als made halftime adjustments we didn't.

Noel Thorp's defense would have ripped his face off. It would have been a much more lopsided victory for the Als if we had Cofaj starting. The fact he won say more about our defense and defensive scheme than it does about his play.
