I've never heard of these guys.  Who are they?

They have a popular song "radio active" you'd  probably know it if you heard it

I am pretty sure it was even used in a commercial for something... I got nothing against them but based on the little I know about them it's not a good half time show pick.

    Why?

I like the choice.  I think they'll put on a good show.

Hopefully they can get a decent set up stage wise and not be propped up on a box at centre field with a dozen cheerleaders around them.

  2. Whoever made the decision to move Morley to center extended his career by several years and turned a mediocre guard into a stellar center.

Other than that, I'm not impressed. The OL isn't the gong show some make it out to be but it's very inconsistent and very underwhelming.

I agree with all of this, except the 'stellar' part.  Morley is a much better center than guard, to be sure, but I've also seen him fall down virtually untouched on a few occasions.

What are the thoughts out there on playing JFG over Romby, and if a national receiver goes down you put Bryant in then. Bryant hasn't seemed to do very much this year, and when JFG was on the field he was making more plays than I recall Bryant making. I'm far from an expert, so don't crucify me if this is a terrible idea, but it just seems JFG was earning his playing time early in the season.

No its a fantastic idea, especially given our ratio problems and one that many of us here have suggested time and time again.

Not to mention JFG and Willy seem to have some chemistry, where Bryant and Willy obviously do not.  I really don't know why they haven't at least given this a shot.

  4. Kromah was actually the player that caused one of the fumbles by the riders in the game, punched the ball out, recovered by sherman i believe or dunn but pretty positive Kromah had a forced fumble last game. Looked good to me when he was in, Not sure why people expect this Defence to have a dominant MLB, it's not set up that way, Linebackers are basically put in to positions to fail for the most part in the ETCH D. We aren't gonna have a MLB with 100 tackles, not while Etch is around.

Be great to have a Bighill or Elomimian but reality is, Not gonna happen.

I'm pretty sure he stripped Sunseri on the QB sneak.

I'd say the loss came from the blocked fg for a TD and the hold on the kick return that let dressler waltz right by the defender..

IF you tackle the guy before he's already returned the ball to midfield the holding never has a chance to happen... When you let a returner get to the point where there's only one guy with a chance of stopping him you've failed in your coverage a long time before.

That's absolutely true, but it doesn't mean there wasn't a hold and that it shouldn't have been called.

yeah but when the coaches break down the film you think they will say to the team "OK it's not your fault, the refs just missed the holding"? What they're going to do are highlight the guys who didn't contain the returner initially because that's where the biggest mistake on the play came in.

I really don't see how the 2 things are related.  Of course the coaches will use the film to illustrate where the play broke down and point out the errors, so they can be corrected.  That's their job and it's the players job to execute.  Just like the refs blew a call that it is their job to make.... But I doubt they will be looking at film to see where they failed.

Two seperate things:  The Bombers failed to keep their lanes and make a tackle and the refs missed an obvious hold.

The point is, that if you are play well and take care of your own play and don't make mistakes then the refs don't come into play at all.

    Obviously, but why use if's?

If Dressler had of muffed the punt reception, he never would have had the chance to return it, the Bombers wouldn't have missed the assignments/tackles and the refs never would have blown the call.

The fact is, the play happened the way it did.

  8. I'd sure like to see him sit down for a while after that celebration when the play was still on during the Bombers final kick return. He plays a really keyed up game, but I don't really notice him channeling that emotion into productive plays.

This happened right in front of me and I was furious!  Was it a good block?  Sure.  But if he had looked for someone else to hit, instead of celebrating like a complete idiot, that return could have been bigger... Maybe even gone the distance.  What a tool.
