Coaches get lucky on bad decisions sometimes. Usually over the course of a career faulty logic will burn you more often than not.

GM has final say. If Walters didn't like the marine he could have released him, He's the guy that makes the call to the league office. Again, we are striving to let Walters off the hook around here. GM has final say on who is available to any coach. Just a cold hard fact. I look at all the complaints about who was rostered and still see nobody better behind them with maybe the exception of Jake Thomas. If Walters stays I hope WM gives him a very short leash because he has been Waldo for two years now. Walters CAN be a very good GM, he needs to show up to work tho. That being said, I hope we clean house.

I've only listened to a bit of HI. I don't expect him to be BLM, but if he is more than Forde that will be great. How wild is that? Every year it's been zach playing in the GC and talk of when will BLM retire to be in the booth. Now BLM made it further than zach, looks a million times better, and zach is doing the analyst thing.

We should have a Poll on this thread. Personally, I think Mos goes. This has always been the job, especially working under pinball and with more control. We have all known that from the day he was hired. I think Walters stays, and Wade continues for the time being. I've never thought Wade would keep this role for 15+ years. Wade should maybe make a call to Buono for his legendary referral services... He's been involved in probably half of the franchise turn overs since he retired.

He does a great job on Handled Internally... No surprise at all that he's doing this. He'll be awesome.

So Zach is going to work the GC as an analyst. That is kind of surprising to me. He's never been the most loquacious guy. He's Forde esq and maybe worse. But who knows perhaps he will be better when removed from the game played that day.

I feel like we have seen cracks in the foundation of the Mos-Walters relationship at times. It's been a bit scarce, but the difference between their year ending and pre season interviews spoke volumes as well as a few moves we've made. That is a great quote. And Ted was all that and more. It does say something that he didn't feel that would be the case here without Ted ,though. To me, that sounds like between the lines he doesn't think we'd do what ever it takes to win, we didn't have that front office star aside from Ted, or that mentor type. Which does make sense knowing the nature of walters and ted. Makes me feel all the more for Penn too.

TBF, Penn says he left because of his loyalty to Ted. He was the one who brought Penn in to the CFL and gave him a shot.

Could have landed Flo as well..amoung others...even guys like Godber could have been had in FA which would have made us significantly better...but when HC tbinks otherwise and got too much sway.....well.....deals can be made but when your HC says we good...and you trust him to a fault...well u get our roster And the G.M should trust the HC he chose...and shouldn't meddle into things...but there comes a point when they have to start exercising their g.m role as the boss too...but we didn't here...result of too much buddy buddy crap here ...possible but it needed to change this offseason ...last offseadon really but we dragged ass on several levels and were lucky to make playoffs if not for the cross over...I am a fan of the team and defend a lot...players and coaching...but we were a flawed smoke and mirrors team 2 yrs running..and the smoke finally took over

Wallace or Vanterpool imo. I think Vanterpool at G is turnkey. He isn't Bond good currently, but he flashed that upside. He's solid at T, but not at the point where you feel comfortable with him as you 1a guy. Eli also could be one of those guys. Yeah I think Bryant to G would be huge for him and us, Vanterpool or neuf could be good at C. Heck wallace played a bit. I actually like Vibert a bunch too, but he needs to come in a take job. I don't expect any draft pick to do more than be the 6th man this year, and even that would be really hard with the depth guys we have. I wouldn't mind us looking to flip a pick for a player like we did with Lawson and Peterson. Especially for an OL.

But if given total control basically...he'd have no pushback to deal with He was given too much here..and killed us and created rifts with his room and with scouting...There a reason Penn left here...why work your butt off all offseason for nothing...Ted offered him similar role and off he went

Yeah, the recovery seems kind of perplexing. He's not enough of a focal point for a ton of questions to be coming in for him, but he seems to be lagging. Should have some kind of update by next week. Hopefully its minor. Yeah. I think the CFL GMs are much more inclined to make trades now than they were a few years ago. And Cap wise, you don't often risk much with an off season trade.

We need 2 legit new bodies...or 1 if Wallace progresses which i sure he will We in good shape with Vpool and Randolph as future and to be honest a transition year with Vpool..Bryant...Eli if he gets the shot...or anyone but Kolo...Best of Neuf/Wallace...Randolph Bryant i think is more than serviceable at guard as we transition and be invaluable to Vpool and the center...and is damn good insurance in pinch if a tackle goes down We def tho need to grab a top notch olineman in FA regardless of position as have missed out on several good guys lately as we let our line erode..and guys walk

From what's been reported, he already has a big say in personnel here so is that really a big selling feature? Yep, BC paid peanuts for Allen (who was a pending FA). There are moves available to be made.

Even out side of FA, bc swung a deal last year involving an elite imp T. He said She said. I would not be surprised at all if Walters and Mos came to be at significant odds with the roster. Especially when you look at guys going from favorites to released/un signed like the marine.

The last update on Manu was Nov 5th where Campbell said he didn't see him starting in the next week or two. He's eligible to return on Sunday but he hasn't practiced so that's not happening.

I don't think stud OL are super rare in FA and the Bombers have been on both sides of it. We picked up arguably the greatest OL in CFL history through FA and we've lost a number of really good ones over the last few years.
