Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
That's not a horrible idea. Kind of like what New york does with the Giants/Jets.

25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
I'm not so sure about this. Maybe if he got here the year he was drafted. But the waiting game he's played, imo...has kind of forced the Bombers to look else where for the future QB. If they find someone or a couple guys who they think are legitimate future starters I don't see why they would wait for Elgersma to develop.

The only available young QB that is a free-agent is Cameron Dukes. If we need to add some experience behind Collaros, he might be worth a look (again) for QB2.

Gaffe by Peabo kind of takes a dump on a real good period by the Jets.- Game 74 : Cubbie @ Cubs
3 2. Bryson with the huge fugg up and a pretty nice 30th goal of the season for Tyler Bertuzzi.- Game 74 : Cubbie @ Cubs
Jets waking up and absolutely dominating the entire 2nd period so far. Dominating doesn’t do it justice with 8 minutes to go in period 2 I’m not sure Chicago has really touched the puck 2 1 jets. If they make it, look out… cuz they appear to be streaking at the right time. 3 1. Rosen with his 2nd as a Jet. That’s 2 goals in 38 seconds. Zhilkin with his first nhl point on rosens goal.- Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
Edmonton & Calgary will come back attendance wise if their teams are competitive. Montreal is averaging over 20,000 a game so they're doing alright. Macciocia says that they're in a position to make some money. They don't have the corporate boxes needed to be profitable. there's an ownership group in Montreal trying to snag an expansion team for Montreal. he was saying a new stadium of around 35000 would be needed. He wants the Als to be a part of it if Montreal gwets an expansion team. He realizes that the stadium needs to be used at least 200 times a yera to be profitable.- Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
surprised that the argos aren't asking to play at least three games here. Calgary Edmonton and Mtrl might want to get in on that action too- Game 74 : Cubbie @ Cubs

Surprise, surprise, surprise. Our new Mayor Jeremy Farkas was dead set against the new arena now under construction during a divisive arena debate ten years ago says he's open to the idea of a new stadium for the Stamps. To be located on the Stampede grounds where the present Saddledome is at now after its torn down. Apparently, there have been preliminary talks with CSEC. So, maybe there's a light at the end of the tunnel. This could take years so I'm not holding my breath that this happens in my lifetime. But if they hurry up, maybe Noeller will be alive when its built cuz he's getting older as well. Amazing how a person can change once they become Mayor.- Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread

If I was guessing, it'll be a fight in camp between Terry Wilson and the UFL MVP guy for the QB2 spot...- Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread
How about the fact that we have a defacto extra home game this year since Toronto is hosting the World Cup games and the Argos s home game against us is at PAS? Talk amongst yourselves.- 25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
I agree that the defacto number 2 position is unlikely to end up being Elgersma if he does sign. However, whether or not he signs does decide how we approach our QB room in general. Being a NAT, how the Bombers QB development behind Collaros is significantly different between the two scenarios of him signing or not signing. The Bombers future plans will be to give Elgersma a boat load of development runway.- 25/26 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season Thread
Why are we assuming the QB2 spot is being held for Elgersma? Sure he could compete for it but how often do USports QBs show up and immediately got slotted into backup QB? Bombers will have Bryce Perkins who won the UFL MVP last year and Payton Throne who had a reasonable NCAA career and was an NFL camp cut last year and then obviously Terry Wilson as the guy with actual CFL experience.. who by the way has played about as much as Powell has the last two seasons. Realistically if Elgersma were to show up it would be Perkins or Wilson as QB2 and Elgersma as 3... If he did end up QB2 that would mean he was more or less worth the wait- Game 74 : Cubbie @ Cubs
