Strev has value actually...in right role His running is coming around and if no set back next yr..Will be back to what it was... We need a legit QB 1 next yr...and a guy at 2 we either groomed...or someone else did and they play backup QB 3 in Canada is a moot wasted spot and nobody develops there..perfect for Strev...he can be your short yardage guy...used in wildcat...play TE...Slot...out of backfield...cover teams...and have packages for him like the 2019 run Dude is an athlete...ultimate team guy...a leader...respected...will do anything for team....so use that wasted QB3 spot for a multi use guy. The naysayers about his running ability not like it was....well duhhhhhh...think about it That being said...its getting closer to where it was...and will get there And if we were to cut him today...hed be picked up immediately and whatever team grabbed him would be using him in all kinds of way...garuanteed You can win not throwing with right personel and proper offensive scheme Go watch some Army games... We'd have to dump OC guy tho cause our guy can't design his way out of a wet paper bag...nor be able how to convey how to actually execute a triple option type offence....JJ could tho With right guys you could run that all day in tempo and kill a defence...and gambling on 3rd and 4 or less would be high success rate

I would assume that the % chance of us winning games with him throwing very little would be well below 50%. Throwing only 3 completions has to be something ridiculously low like 10%....

They've played hard for most of the season, they are trending in the right direction that is for sure.

Yesterday, we threw the ball a total of 8 times, we had 3 completions (one of which was a forward 5 inch toss to Dillon Mitchell) and an interception. Why? Two reasons. Our OC sucks, and our QB doesn't threaten any defence with his arm. Ottawa took the only throws Strev can consistently make away (and very simply I might add) because he cannot throw anything outside the hashmarks, to the intermediate and deep zones with any form of consistency. He is an awful passer. There is not getting around that, he should not be a QB in the CFL anymore. He is a gadget player and that's fine if he could successfully do that still but he can't. If we sign him again that GM should immediately lose his job. For those wondering if WIlson can do better? Yes, he can. Two reasons. The First is he couldn't do worse. The second he is an actual QB whose arm you have to respect because he can make every throw on the field. Streveler can't, and never could, but we were able to successfully use him in the past because the D always had to respect his play action. Now they just run blitz him and he is screwed.

Jackson prob can throw better than Streveler can so honestly what can an OC do when the QB is garbage. Run the ball. It’s what they did and won running the ball. I mean what exactly is Streveler strength? It’s not passing the ball more than 7 yards. ? Cuz that’s what it appears. He can run and that’s it so they ran and ran Ana ran and ran and ran and Streveler had 10 carries for 36 yds and a TD but also 1 more carry for 36 yards. So 11 for 72. 3 of 8 for 54 passing. (Good average completion but … less than 1 completed pass per quarter. Dru brown had more completions on the first drive. so what can he do? what’s this game plan that doesn’t exist for a qb who can’t pass look like. Run? Cuz that’s what they did.

But yesterday when it mattered and we needed to put Ottawa away, we did. We ran the ball and ran the ball and ran the ball but we did. The O moved the ball when they needed. yup fgs but when you have a qb who can’t throw and he completes 3 passes all game but you win, can you really complain about anything other than the qb who can’t throw. Convert Strev to FB. I mean 3 completed passes is basically like playing without the QB so. Why not. Wilson can hand off to Brady and Strev. But start Wilson and roster Strev as the FB and have Wilson hand the ball off 30 times to Brady Strev Peterson etc. Demski.

Our defence was good yesterday, and so were our special teams. Anyone complaining about roster management this week has lost the plot. It is a miniscule problem compared to others in the big picture of this season. Unless you want to count continuing to start Streveler as roster management, then fire away on that one.

no games over 250 since 19 either. And none of his games or 250 or more have even the same number of tds as ints. Since the end of 18, he’s had 2 games with more tds than picks. he was talking about strev though yeah? I don't understand what people are seeing in Strev as a QB around here either? He is never going to be a quality starter in this league and is barely an acceptable back up. Collaros was a 1000x better than Streveler, however, the offensive system sucks too.

yes, but that’s not nearly 11 completion or attempts. divisional all star is not close to the same as perennial mop, and 1/3 of a season does not an mop or all star make. 2/3 of a year is not the start to a year. Let’s look further at his season last week 11. 3 games under 202 yards. 4 games with as many or more picks than tds 2 games over 250 yards passing 6 tds in 7 games then 1 game with 6 tds and 430 yards passing. The second half of last year is massively padded by the 1 game against edmonton. Take that out and in the final stretch of the year he had 1900 yards 7 TDS 6 ints. 3 good games, 3 ok games, 11 bad games. Unfortunately, Zach isn’t a game manager. If he could be a strong game manager getting the ball out quickly that would help off set issues a lot. but he just isn’t that guy.

He sucks. He wasn't throwing because he is an interception machine. His own coaches don't trust him to throw the ball and with good reason. They have their work cut out for them because KW hasn't shown up since 2021. There is absolutely no way Wilson could have done worse.
