  1. Past hour
  2. I can say with confidence...whoever takes the center spot...will be better than what we had the last several yrs....so that is a net positive as it will radiate right across both sides of the line And if they come out of camp dominant, and gelling and ol ZC has a couple games early on where he could have a sandwich...some potatoe chips...lil kool aide on the side...and just disect defences....that would be the best thing too
  3. Still not convinced it will be Eli at C, but if it is then certainly having Stan/Boxton bookending is going to allow the OGs to do better, which takes pressure off Eli as well.
  4. Moreso as well the 2 guards not having to worry or try and compensate to whats on their left...and right
  5. Combination of Big Stan and Broxton (I'm assuming) on the left side is going to be wild. Eli should have a tonne of confidence in the middle when he doesn't have to worry about anything to his left. Snap the ball and do your job.
  6. I like our roster coming in this year as well. We addressed all 3 areas of major weakness with some PROVEN talent. Boxton, White, Ceresna are all premier players. Instead of losing 3 all star calibre players like we did last year we added 3. Those are huge move the needle signings.
  7. Agreed. Kenny last year would have helped, and this year would be more impactful likely.
  8. so as it see it currently...not based on any further signings, or what happens in TC....Our defence could shake out as such as a base set Allen...Nichols...Kramdi...Holm....Moxey Wilson...Jones...Griffen WJ...Lawson..Ceresna..One of Jenkins/Romanowski and Bailey rotating When we go 3 Dlinman front lots of variations with Woodbey and I can see Smith and Shay subbing in an when we do those other sets where Hallet came in as well chaing guys but not really doing much that could be Vaval's role if he doesnt take the other Corner spot Thats a far cry from last yr and the making of a pretty stout defence Offensively Bryant...Vpool/Randolph...Eli...Neuf...Broxton and Wallace as the 6th Gimme Banks outside...Demski..White...Pokey....Neild/Clercius.... And of course ZC and BO in backfield.....and the key...an O.C who has had success in the league That looks light yrs ahead of where we were, and camp and the rest of FA hasnt even concluded yet I'm just thinking good luck teams stopping is on second and short and Jumbo when you could have a side of the Oline with Eli..Broxton..Wallace...Bryant ..grading road yup....and dide scored 14 td's....pretty much double any other reciever...so obviously was money in red zone or just getting in for paydirt
  9. No doubt about it. Kenny wasn't going to save our season, but he would have been one step up the ladder from where we were and sure would look great in blue and gold this year as well.
  10. Can't remember exactly, I'll see if I can find specifics. It was a DB I know that.
  11. Tell me what players Mace threw under the bus?
  12. As I stated earlier, MOS took it too far the other way, but a coach showing loyalty to his players is exactly the right move for player retention in the long run. Throwing players under the bus leads to exodus in the offseason. That is what is happening in Saskatchewan right now. If you are seriously suggesting that the core of our talent stayed here on cap friendly deals in the peak of their careers to avoid being cut elsewhere you have truly gone off the deep end. We received many favorable contracts from players who turned down bigger offers elsewhere. I am not seeing that kind of loyalty to the Riders with the exception of Trevor Harris, to whom your point may apply. Just as you don't get my criticism of Mace, I really don't understand your praise of him?
  13. Weird take given our record over the past several years. Do you really believe that we have a bunch of players in our locker room that didn't like winning? I don't. That's a massive reach you guys and S27 are trying to make now. We weren't some last place team hanging onto aging vets who didn't care about winning. That is complete rubbish created by fans taking it over the top,

  16. The backup qb is always the most popular thing on a football team.
  17. I don't disagree with you. I probably said it in the heat of the moment. All I can say is that he had to change the culture that Dickenson created & getting rid of a lot of deadwood that team had. It was terribly coached & was a totally undisciplined team. I think they led the CFL in penalties under Dickenson. That lack of discipline cost them games. I hate the Riders with all that I have as a fan. Seeing them lose is always a pleasure. I just think Mace had to do what he had to do when he arrived. His head coaching talents are much, much better than I thought they would be. He exceeded any expectations I had of him. Especially when you consider what kind of joke the Riders were when he got there. As a new Head Coach, he figured things out fast & got it.
  18. No, that's not Peter Young. This is a summary of Peter Young's career & accomplishments from his induction into the Northern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in Thunder Bay a few years ago. He was born & raised there. he considered Winnipeg his second home.
  19. No, Peter was a CTV guy through & through. After he left CKY he formed his own production company & freelanced. He also left broadcasting & was GM of a number of pro baseball teams in Florida, Arizona & here in Calgary.
  20. Helle's complaint was about his mask being loose.
  21. Dallas was offside on that change but it completely missed the refs. Oh well. 5 out of 8 points on the road trip is okay.
  22. and confirmation
  23. That's him... The only thing he's ever really been good at is being an ******* at the bottom of the pile.
  24. Pretty sure in the ‘19 cup it was Dylan Wynn who twisted Streveler’s ankle late and set him off. Strevy got an unsportsmanlike penalty then Andrew Harris promptly rumbled 16-17 yards on 2nd and long… and the Bombers marched on for a score.
  25. think he lists 5’6-5’8, which is as close to accurate as blink being 5’7-5’8 lol. It’s an odd move, really a bring in talent and let em work it out. jj is 28, so in his prime. Got some minor burn over a good period of time. Which for a tiny power back is crazy in the nfl. especially then. I don’t see any fit, other than a highly talented lotto ticket. Much better than bringing in tcf. But we need to develop mci and peterson. Singer is interesting. Don’t love the double transfer and consistently dropping production, or the slight build. Love the quicks, could be great in the slot, tremendous hands and arm length. Plays the game very similar to lawler. Good guy to have pushing in camp.
  26. This is him right? in the thumbnail?
