Reinebold was just a bad coach with a bad program. Kelly proved to be a terrible human being, blinded by wild arrogance.

Nyquist!!!! Where the hell has that been? -
kelly made a whole lot more than one mistake. I hope he finds a road to better mental health and stability. He certainly doesn’t deserve any thing from bomber fans. He left a far more significant black eye for the fan base and franchise than Reinbold. Jeff was a colossal screw up football ops wise, but atleast he was a good person who upheld the expectations that come with leadership.

Namestnikov is the 2nd line center no matter what, I guess. Apparently 8 points is adequate for that position. - Today

As close as we can get, then. In other words, the best 7 & that's it. The rest Americans unless that 8th Canadian ios better. -
Kelly regrets what he did. When you're under a lot of pressure you do & say things you regret later. We've all done that. After 43 years Bomber fans have forgiven Dieter Brock for his behaviour when he demaded his contract be renegotiated, missed training camp & wanted out to go to the NFL. Brock regretted being an ass towards the Bombers & his fans. People get older & they mature. I was pissed at Dieter when that happened but no more. He was pretty clear in his book that he made a mistake & was sorry. I think if fans can forgive Brock then we can give Kelly a break. It's been nearly 20 years.

They were quite the sensation when they were born. Even when I was growing up in the 60's they were still newsworthy.

Blue Bombers -- 2025/26 Offseason -- Discussion Thread

My point was that fans get excited about young players that come into the league rather than older ones that are NFL retreads. Fans are excited for Elgersma because he looks a like an actual blue chip prospect like Nathan Rourke was. With the low rookie cap, why should he sign here? he'll exhaust every opportun ity until they tell him to get lost which could take years. The CFL needs to change its way of thinking. The pandemic was 6 years ago. The CFL has to start taking some risks. Maybe making exceptions with cases like Egersma & other rookies to get interest up. -
wilson’s sources; trust me bro. He’s not gonna find any one in the cfl circles who has a grudge with bob. Wilson has made good points a couple times this year, but he’s way off more than he’s right. He’s the tsn version of stephen a, and all that ilk.

Good point, he was practicing since like LD iirc. I think it is always worth having Canadians like that. I'd take as many lotto ticket flyers on Canadians with upside as I could get. Generally, you are lucky to have a couple of guys in the draft who have decent athleticism and size that could be polished into Ss if they fulfill their potential. True cover guys, little on Sam's, are rare and valuable. They get a LOT of leash to figure out if they have any thing left too. BLM, Zach, and Harris are all great examples of that. All 3 looked fully cooked for more than a little while and managed to get back to being good. Khari was like 29 when he broke in with us, too. But you have far better chances of developing a QB who is in his late 20s when he gets up here than a kid out of college these days. The NFL is all over every single archetype at QB. No longer do they exclude system guys, or none pro offense guys. So, the kids we get access to who have 1 NFL TC or less are generally really lackluster. https://www.bluebombers.com/2025/12/23/new-title-same-jake/ Tait with another gem. Some interesting tidbits jump out at me. It sounds to me like he wanted to continue to play, and we weren't going to bring him back. I had a really good exit meeting with Osh (head coach Mike O’Shea). At that point, I was still kind of planning on continuing playing if that was possible. Then a few weeks went by after the Grey Cup and we just kind of continued our conversation and he let me know there was a chance that this opportunity would be available. -

How many qbs period pick up the Canadian game and become stars period? Teams will always look for a qb where ever they can find them. Doesn't really matter what their age is, and honestly when guys are playing into their late 30s anyway does it matter if they get a late start up here? -
Yup it will be a half a dozen one percenters sitting in their boxes with a few of their other one percenter ‘friends’ sitting in their luxury boxes in an empty arena while us minions sit at home yelling at the tv that we can hardly afford. Thanks for coming to my motivational speech.

What they're really doing is demonstrating how out of touch with reality they are. I could see a day where the world will no longer be able to afford pro - sports.
