Pav hurt on a play by Stuart. Weak call on Doane there for sure. Stu pushed him. But jets have a helle of a goalie to call up if need be. Weak calls all over the ice tonight. Ladd looks terrible.

They said it. That's why Thorburn stays in the NHL. Effort.

Weird array of penalties for the Jets - closing hand on puck, embellishment, delay of game (over the glass - my least favourite penalty), and a putrid call on too many men.

Good win.

Scheifele was really good again and barely 18 minutes of ice time.

Pardy played with some jump.

Copp has 3:27 of ice time....really?

Ehlers tries too hard to draw penalties.

I'd like to see Lipon or Armia given a chance and Peluso to sit a few.

Stafford has more ice time than anyone but Buff.

Hutch comes in and closes the door.

Lots to build off of and the Avs are next!

 

Does Helle get called up with Pavelec's injury?

There's a back to back coming up next Friday/Saturday.

Depends on how long if at all pav is out for but Hellebyuck would be the guy

One door closes and another one opens?

Not sure about the uh oh thing. Think helle comes up and takes a job permanently. He's ready. Pav hasn't been very good so far. Has had stretches but is inconsistent.

Ideally next season would of been the better season for Helle to come on up...  

Why. He's 22 years old. Whats he got to prove. Played very good last year. Was dominant at the world championships playing against nhl players. Guys ready.

We don't know if he's ready but I hope we find out shortly.

I also think the physicality of the game at this level is catching up to him. When the Jets play a big strong mean game Ehlers pays for it as they go for him.

He's got to play fearless and get back to his game. Also, Thorburn and Peluso need to say uh no, he's not your punching bag opposition.

I think Sbisa got the message all ready, he has to be aware of where he is on the ice and when it's okay to dangle a bit. As for the drawing of penalties he had that m o in juniors to.

He drew an embellishment penalty last game and should realize that diving is not the way the game is played....he is a (super?)star in the making and doesn't need that in his repertoire. His team mates will have his back regardless of whether he dives or not.

How many times do you see Scheifele take a dive? I don't think I ever have and he is on the ice three times as much as Ehlers.

Other teams are targetting him as far as I can tell. yeah Sbisa(?) probably won't do that again, that was fantastic! and I don't like fighting.
