June 30, 201411 yr it is what it is. oh well, the rain is nice. just tough when it rains for 3 days straight. the rain aint so bad even, the wind is though. so many downed branches on my street its crazy.

June 30, 201411 yr Are they operating the floodway? The river is crazy high. I havent heard anything on this yet. I believe there are hoops to jump through in operating the floodway to control river levels outside of spring flooding. What year was it, 2006 or 2007 -ish that we had rain all summer and they operated the floodway?

The river has been running high for several years now. The erosion must be pretty bad also.
July 1, 201411 yr The floodway is still empty as of yesterday... The rain is a disappointment... After the horrible winter I was hoping that summer would at least be decent. Zero beach days and its already July...

July 1, 201411 yr Southeast Saskatchewan got flooded big time. Highways closed and State of Emergencies called. Fortunately, Saskatoon didn't get hit.

July 13, 201411 yr Not a drop of rain at the Calgary Stampede this year which is amazing. Usually, there are nice days mixed in with hot, cold, rain & thunderstorms. This year,it's been warm &b dry the entire 10 days. Today is the last day.

Shame I was stuck working. Finally get summer and I work through it. Hope it lasts until I'm done.
July 14, 201411 yr Floodway has been opened up for a while and it's been rising. I drive by it twice a day to and from work. It's pretty high right now.
