Why would he leave the team? Don’t you think it’s important to get your 24 year old QB the majority of game reps. Perkins is 29 and can probably pick up the offense better. No doubt they see him as more of the short yardage guy. Get the kid some important reps and try to build his confidence. I don’t think this forshadows anything. I really don’t see Perkins be anything more then a short yardage and change of pace guy. He simply does not have the arm to make the wide wide field throws that are so important in the CFL.

100% on Perkins. He's the ideal QB3 here at this moment. But he's got basically zero upside or potential to be a #1 in this league. He's Dan LeFevour or Streveler. He can run, he can make you pay with his arm on some improvised plays if you cheat, and you can maybe survive a couple games with him. He might get 300 yards of offense in a great game but probably only 180 of those will be passing.

And if you're savvy as a OC/coaching staff you build a run pack around him.

Kind of interesting. Collaros played as much as DA in Montreal and VA in Calgary. Looks like TE got the 2nd most reps behind Coane in Sask. Perkins threw 9 passes each game.

This is scaring the **** out of me. Demski and Vaval have missed virtually all of camp. Ceresna (bad history of injuries) also missed significant time. I feel like it's going to be a rough start to the year.

I'm at the game in Calgary next week... Last year I had to leave at half time because I couldn't stomach anymore. Hoping it's not more of the same...

This would make sense if they were playing BC starters. But it's back ups vs back ups.... No concern about our current crop of recruits that we got pantsed out there by other back ups in front of the home crowd...?

To be fair the backups played BCs starters for the first couple of drives and kept the reigning MOP out of the endzone and held the best WR to what 1 catch? Then the bc backups came in along with bomber 3rd stringers/rifles/just flat out cuts.

yeah...Our backups and potential upside guys were actually faring very well vs BC's offensive starters...and were up 10-3

Our scrubs and draft picks were hosed by BC's scrubs and draftee's....

Ball is ball regardless of who it is against....Heck a lot of our "starters" didnt play at all in pre-season really, so who knows how they would have fared vs scrubs and TCF...But all made the club from the tub. Some say Elsbury is the answer at center but he didnt overall impress and as an Import that would make you have to switch your ratio, and likely play inadequate Canadian receivers, and even worse as their backup...That import center has to be exceptional at worst...Did Eli even polay any center in Pre-season to play himself outta the starting lineup?

Also...Come the real game time Elsbury will be seeing legit schemes and likely stuff he has never faced, not the vanilla he saw in pre-season...is he gonna be able to make the proper calls?...or is he gonna flub a bunch of them and risk ZC getting eviscerated in the process??...
