He’s the front runner right now imo. Oh you are correct. However not too many MOPs or MVPs in any leagues from losing teams. Goalie and sweep the leg 2
bustamente Posted September 1 Author Report Posted September 1 I guess it's understandable but not to many reps for Biggie in the first half Mark H. 1
Mark H. Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 Couple of good defenses, hitting hard, making plays Plus they both have a decent ground game Two pretty damn good football games today rebusrankin 1
rebusrankin Posted September 1 Report Posted September 1 So this MOP talk got me curious and I did some digging. Going back to 1980, every MOP played on a team that was 9-9 or that had a winning record. Owens for Toronto in 2012 (9-9) and Elimimian for BC in 2014 (9-9) are the only two that played for a team that was .500. Bigblue204 and sweep the leg 1 1
Mark H. Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 But it's infuriating to see a QB barely get hit while sliding & it's a 15 yard penalty. ZC & others get clobbered - no call rebusrankin, bustamente, Bigblue204 and 1 other 2 2
Mark H. Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 Stamps have one heck of a front 7, not sure why they need Bighill. Noeller and TBURGESS 2
bustamente Posted September 2 Author Report Posted September 2 Stamps consistently get pressure on the qb essentially rushing only 4 Mark H. 1
Super Duper Negatron Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 I feel like the crossover is our best chance at this point TBURGESS 1
Mark H. Posted September 2 Report Posted September 2 It's crazy to think that we lost to the Stamps by just 1 point I don't think there's much doubt that the Stamps will be in the West final. Adams can put up a subpar performance and they still win handily Trevor Harris will not stand a chance against their pass rush. In fact, ZC might actually do better Bigblue204 and Noeller 1 1

Might be a moot point though, as I think the Argos finish the season at least 9-9. rebusrankin 1

It's rare but there have been multiple players in other sports who have won MVP on a team with a losing record (mainly baseball but has happened in the NBA as well). Most recent example was A-Rod in 2003 with Texas despite being 20 games below .500 (71-91). Cal Ripken Jr and Andre Dawson also did it a few years apart from each other in the late 80's/early 90's.
