  • Here's hoping the headings for the 2025/2026 NHL season 20 games in read 'What's wrong with the Knights, Panthers, Wild and Maple Leafs?'.

  • It's a ridiculous contract for a guy like Kiprizov, certainly but also the cap is going up and don't forget that what these guys make is a fraction of what the owners make. I'm not as "ATHLETES ARE AL

When’s the next lockout. Honestly. USA gonna go broke lol.

That’s a crazy contract for a team that probably doesn’t make the playoffs this year maybe not even next

That contract is complete insanity....just give him the keys to the club and put his name down as an owner already....Where does it stop....AND don't forget the guys that buy the tix are going to end up paying for this guy....Just so much till the well runs dry and everyone is hooped

It's a ridiculous contract for a guy like Kiprizov, certainly but also the cap is going up and don't forget that what these guys make is a fraction of what the owners make. I'm not as "ATHLETES ARE ALL GREEDY PIGS!!" as some people. Careers are short... Take the money if you can get it.

Having said that, this really fucks with where the bar is for guys like KConn and McJesus... Kiprizov is absolutely not worth this money.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer team if his contract doesn’t help correlate into success for the sucky wild. My distaste for this team is nearing the Leafs and might just be equal now.

And id say 90% on Reddit Wild are perfectly fine with this.

To be fair, when healthy kaprizov is a superstar but he hasn’t been healthy in a long time. But Minnesota also has other guys signed to long term kinda “cheap “ contracts. No guarantee the cap goes up. WNBA is more popular than hockey in the USA and more affordable. 17 million gonna be mostly paid in ticket price hikes where they are gonna completely make it so only the very rich can play and go to games. This is the start of the end of Canadian teams who are the only ones who consistently sell out.

So in summary the Winnipeg Jets are going to win the Stanley Cup this year. :)

This game would have been a Don Cherry VHS video back in the day.

pretty positive that that injury from a couple of seasons ago may have screwed his chances
